The Official A.P.C Denim Thread

I mean, it's supposed to be uncomfortable for awhile, right? Haha. It's whatever. I'm honestly too lazy to return them anyway. The only store in Houston that has apc for retail unfortunately has to be 50 mins away, and I already only have the last button loose within a day. From my first wear, I've had a few questions about it. Should I ever mess with the stacks, or should I let them just naturally be? Also, is it normal to feel folds under your butt when walking around? Is it just cuz I don't got that Boland donk?

why do people still buy apc?

Stacks and folding will definitely settle, it's been 3 months in my PS and you just made me realize that Idon't even feel that level of stiffness and the folding and flapping sound when I walk because the jeans are getting broken in

For APC PS, if I can barely button 2 buttons up sizing down 2, and can barely button all buttons up sizing down 1, which should I go for? I want a slim but not super skinny fit.
June 30, 2012 @ 22:03:27
id say size down 1

if you want a slim but not skinny fit, i would go for new standard sized down 3, thats what i have now and i love them. For petit's to get a slim fit i went down 2 but i had to wear a belt with them after a month. going down 2 tagged sizes from your measured waist is technically going tts because apc's are vanity sized 2 sizes.

Does the apc site let you do returns?

Yo I sized down 3 on my new standards and i have a slim/skinny fit. I'm looking for a straight/slim fit now, so do you think sizing down 1 on the petit standards would give me that? Thanks.

New Standards tagged 27, my waist is 30". Two months of wear and I'm loving the fit right now. Only worry is that over time they're going to stretch into a baggy mess in which case I'm considering getting the inseam tappered. Any thoughts?

nah thats some bullshit, my petit standards size 29 have been worn day in day out and slept over about 70 days, and the top button is still pretty annoying to get done. The top button was the only one i couldn't get done up when i got them brand new also. So if you feel like wearing some fucking uncomfortable, skin tight jeans for well over two months just to have them stretch out enough for you to get the second to last button up finally, then be my guest.

youre a fucking retard

you are supposed to fucking sag the jeans on your hips and itll stretch out by 2 weeks at the latest

after that the jeans will be fine if you get em too big youre going to regret it later on

you should be good. only place that would turn out baggy would probably be at the knees but at 2 months they've probably stretched out a good amount. most of the stretching will be at the waist. i actually tapered my NS and they ended up stretching back out.
the fit looks good though. i sized down 2 but i think i'm going 3 next time on the NS

Whoah did I hit a nerve there choir boy? nah see here's where you dun goofed:
1) I never stated how I wore my jeans in the process
2) I wear them as sagged as they can possibly be (how the fuck can you sag jeans that are too tight even for your waist? unless you got some fucking ironing board ass)
3) I've had 2 pairs of apc petit standards size 29 and 30, the size 30s i had worn for 4 months and even they didn't stretch a lot, still no trouble keeping them up.
4) curb stomp yourself
July 07, 2012 @ 14:43:08
^ ignore the troll guys

obviously he isnt sagging correctly if they arent stretching

and it also helps to size down correctly dont lie to yourself
July 07, 2012 @ 22:52:54
Wtf...how is there a wrong way to sag? You guys are idiots!

Ive worn my ps down 2 or tts..depending how you look at it for about a month or more and I wouldnt really say they stretched but more of loosened up. I dont really button the top one since I dont want it to stretch a lot but I wear a belt.
July 08, 2012 @ 04:45:19
Wondering if it would be a bad idea to size down 3 on the petit standards or do i risk crushing my balls
July 08, 2012 @ 05:00:37
depends how skinny you are, I'm pretty sure it would be a bad idea, you can size down 3 from new standards though
