I need some help guys.

I was planning on driving the 2 hours from here to san francisco to try on and possibly buy APCs there, but that'd cost like $30 in gas and they'd cost $155+tax. the denimbar discount makes it all too tempting to buy them online...

problem is, I'm 6'3 170 lbs and need a long inseam. I'm currently wearing 501 STFs in 34x36(waist is too big, couldn't find 'em locally any smaller with the 36 inseam). I measured the inseam on the STFs using the guide from blueingreensoho.com* and they are really only a 33'' inseam. Most vendors I've seen online for APCs say the inseam measures a 35 or 34, do you think I'd be good? I'm not planning on washing them, so post-wash inseam shrinkage isn't much of a concern, just the length of it when they're raw

With that discount there's really no reason to drive to SF and pay $180-200 when you can pay $110. Definitely go with the online deal.

I'm around your size, 170-175 at about 6'1" or 2" though I'm not sure about your build. Most of my weight is up top and my legs are lacking a little bit. The New Standards I picked up today fit well in the leg and are long enough for a modest cuff and some stacking. Not sure how they line up to those STFs but I like my NSs so far. If you don't like the way the APCs fit I doubt that website everyone's talking about will mind much if you send em back. But really, saving 70 bucks is a good look either way.

I know it's probably been discussed but this APC thread is massive so...What APCs have a slim fit without being "skinny" if you know what I mean, something along the lines of the fit of a pair of Levi's 514s, i.e. a fairly small leg opening and a slimmer fit than a relaxed fit w/o being to the point where they hug your legs and balls. I've seen quite a few pics of APCs that just seem to tight for my style. thx!

owensA- I would try some New Cures, sized down 1 instead of 2
they will be tapered at the ankle, but will stack nicely, and seem a bit "baggy" in the thighs

Also....

If you put enough pressure on the waist then yes they will stretch. Prepare for some bruised hips mate

Didn't read it clearly.

Anyways, I was at a grad sleep out and I wore my A.P.C's NS needless to say; they smell. I've worn it almost 2 months and I'm not sure whether I should wash, dry clean etc...

I'd febreeze them. But if that doesn't get rid of the smell then give em a nice wash + hang dry.
