so I'm about 1 1/2 years in with my apc ns, and im thinking about getting a new pair of raws for the school year. I'm looking at a pair of petites, but before i buy is there another pair of denim within a similar price range that is better? looking for slim and tapered somewhat

thanks smokeyface

Maybe check out the Naked and Famous Weird Guy, Rogue Territory Stanton, Tellason John Graham Mellor. Also look at 3sixteen denim
Tellason is completely made in the USA (even the threads) which is pretty awesome, white oak cone denim, for $200 it's a steal!

good looks! ive soaked a few times but ive decided it was time to throw em in the washer cus they were dirty as fuck

We've got a raw denim tub soaking vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGdNrDT3peY
Azalea Boutique in SF also posted a hand-washing one recently: http://vimeo.com/26331745

That's down 6 sizes! Ideally people size down 1 or 2 depending on what kind of fit you want. If you want it more tapered, slim fit, down 2. If you want it a little baggier but still tapered, down 1. Guys with bigger thighs or guys who are looking for a strictly slim straight fit usually go down 1 but the majority goes down 2.

Looking good! Keep wearing 'em :p

Jakee is right, APC inseams are 34"-36" I believe. Remember that they will shrink 1-2" in length after washing as well.

It's hard to find info on them because they're fairly new but they're a really amazing product and the fit is on point. Blackbird's product pic of it kinda sucks. After reading the interviews with Tellason and getting the chance to meet Tony Patella at Gentlemen's Reserve in Vancouver, I was pretty confident in making the purchase. The guys are really passionate about what they do and they've got years of experience under their belt so they know what they're doing.

Blackbird did do a blog post with the Ladbroke Grove being worn:

Too bad he wore a long coat.... lol

Here is Tenue de Nimes' product pics: http://www.tenuedenimes.com/shop/product/ladbroke-grove-slim-tapered/

Jordan has the Ladbroke Grove and I (Robin) have the John Graham Mellor.

You really can't justify how awesome the jeans are unless you have 'em in your hands and once again, they're at a really good price point for a product 100% made in USA. Tanner leather patch, 12.5oz White Oak Cone denim, NOT mass produced, hand stamped contact info and details on the THICKEST and deepest pockets I've ever had my hands in (selvedge coin pocket which is pretty deep too!), awesome stitching (compared to APC NS, wow..), back pocket is canvas lined, there is so much good to say about these things. Go TTS if you decide to cop!

Actually size waist 25 i think has a 33" length i believe and APC dont shrink 1-2" after wash... APC's are sanforized not unsanforized which cause the minimal shrinking...
July 26, 2011 @ 13:38:59
^thx for clarification Scotty! My mistake, forgot they were sanforized :p They will shrink minimally so about 0.25-0.5"
July 26, 2011 @ 13:51:24
debating whether to taper my APC's as I am getting tired of having to pinroll..good or bad idea?
