Haven't had a pair of APC's in a couple of years--but scrolling through this thread, I might have to grab another pair. One of the best fitting jeans out there, especially for the price.

What's your actual size?
Most people size down 2 so if your true waist is a 30, 28 would be the right size.

You should still be able to do all the buttons.

not sure (i will find out soon tho) but i wear 30x32 levi 501 stf

i was just wondering how much the jean would stretch/shrink if the waist is fitted pre-everything (aka trying it on at the store). thighs felt tight. i think 28 is good thx!

im confused tho. assuming i have a size 30 waist
a size 28 APC = 30" brand new...and then stretch. so why do people say size down 2? wont it be too big?
June 27, 2011 @ 22:43:58
^ Size down on APC is because the are what's called vanity sized.. So if u are true waist 30 u say size down cause u don't buy a tagged 30 on APC, u buy a size down 2 APC which in your case is a 28 which measures to be a 30 waist.. And to answer your question on being to big? Not really cause who actually buys jeans/pants for everyday wear there exact waist? So they buy there exact waist with APC cause the will stretch out to be little looser on the waist.. Basically will fit like a size up on regular jeans/pants.. Some people will go down 3(ns) or 2(NC) because of the stretching factor and want them to still be slim/skinny and fit there waist...

his stretched to a 32.5? wtf :/ that will be way too big if my real waist is 30 and size down 2..
June 27, 2011 @ 23:12:29
^ Also have to realize someone's lifestyle.. If u are really active then they will stretch alot more than if someone isn't.. But I always recommend down 3 on NS's..
June 28, 2011 @ 02:10:41
tbh im on day 2 of wearing my first pair of ns and i cant imagine sizing down 2. at the store i couldnt even button the top 2. i sized down 1. plus i prefer a more relaxed fit

I also sized down 1 on my APCs.
I'm a sprinter/soccer player (big thighs) so I thought that if I sized down 2, they'd stretch out in the thigh way too much and then I'd just look stupid because they wouldn't stretch out at the calf proportionately.

They stretched out to my waist pretty well (as in I don't need a belt).

Here's how they fit after about 1.5 yrs of VERY LIGHT wear, no better pic sry!!!
I'm happy with it, relaxed fit not restricting at all but it ain't baggy or nothing.

i just ordered my first pair of A.P.C's. My normal size is 32 so i took 30.
so if i want nice fading on my pair i have to wear the jeans a couple month before i wash it the first time right? And the first wash shouldn't be in a normal washing maschine ?
June 28, 2011 @ 14:58:35
jesus christ. just wash the fucking jeans however you want. i washed these jeans in the washer and dryer every time.. seem pretty well faded to me..

fucking A. every 5 posts its either a sizing question or a washing question.

A general rule of thumb is to wear them for 6 months before washing. You shouldn't wash them in the washing machine. You can soak them in a tub of water (hot, cold, warm depending on how much you want them to shrink) and a little bit of detergent 6 months from now. They will shrink back to how they fit originally but they'll stretch out again.

After the 1st wash you might not see much contrast in the fades but washing will speed up the fading process.

Most people size down 2 on the NS. Maybe it was just that one pair. A big guy must have squeezed it on :p

If the 28 fitting is forever the case, you should just get the one that fits.

Give a day of wear and stretch in em, u will be able to button em all the way up.. Still be alittle tight but give it a week u will feel then a tad looser and after a month of everyday wear they will have a good fit to them..

KMZ: Get the 28 cause u want them to be alittle tight cause in a month they will be looser...

Also for washing: There is no general rule for 6 months.. That is some stupid shit nudie wrote on there tag and it carried on to become this stupid rule to follow.. Just wear the shit out of em and when u think they need to be soaked, soak em in hot water then after awhile throw em in the wash..
