a.p.c. new standards.
in case you haven't made the purchase already, do size down quite a bit. i'm typically a 33 or a 34, but my new standards are a 31 (and i'm considering a 30.) they will stretch considerably, and quickly.

^haha. man I sized down 2 in NS and the only thing that has stretched in the 4weeks Ive been wearing them is the waist and knees. size down 3 is insane to me.

Just bought a pair NS's sz 31 today...they fit great...my uniqlo selvedge skinny jeans are a size 35 and they actually fit pretty much the same....the waist fits a lil tight but I tried on a 34 and they were OD baggy and they didnt have any 32's so I tried on sz 31...if they stretch out a bit I wont mind

^ Size down 2 for skinny fit. Size down 1 for a slim fit. Black NS's don't stretch as much as the indigo ones.

apc denim is soooo superior to nudie denim.

I bought 2 pairs of nudies and sold both a week after I got my new standards.

It's entirely upto you I guess. Personally I just think putting the work into the nudies = putting less time into some APC's. sad

Which is the reason why I sold them right after I got my pair haha

apc denim > nudie denim.

i own apc rescues, and two apc new standards (blue and black) as well as nudie slim jim (blue) and nudie dry black selvedge average joe (black). with that said, apc's quality of denim is much better from the fit to the feel. nudie is still dope to me, though.

My waist is 30, but where I rest my jeans, it's around 35-36. If I wanted to get New Cures (and when it's totally stretched out to the point where it looks/fits like you're trying on a new pair of New Standards), what size should I get? How much do the Cures stretch? I don't want the thighs to look ridiculously weird.

I'm 6'0 and 158 pounds.

^cosign that question
same size as him, 6 ft., damn near 160...im not trying to look dumb in New Cures.

But here's a question for y'all major denim heads: APC's in comparison to LVC 501??? which ones are better in y'alls opinion....for those who say APC, which model, NC or NS?

Wow where are you wearing your jeans exactly? haha a 5-6 inch difference is insane. If you are sagging them at your hips, people usually add 2 sizes to your true waist size which in your case should be a 32. Size down 2 on the New Cure's to a size 30 for a skinny fit, size down 1 for a slim fit.

And for the other question, the new standard cut and the new cure cut are two different fits. The new cures are considerably slimmer from the knee down and pretty heavily tapered at the leg opening compared to the new standards. Take a look at some fit pics and decide which you wanna go for.

APCs are "vanity" sized...a size 28 actually has a 30 waist...but to the question what I did to stretch my NSs out a while back was just sag em a bit & when i felt like the waist was how i wanted to be i wore it regular

Well you can listen to him if you want. I still think they are legit and so did the two other people on your post. Don't know how trustworthy people on ISS can be when it comes to denim.

1 - Cycle in them.
2 - Skate in them.
3 - Bboy in them.

I used option #2 and #3. Heard cycling is great too.

Selling a bnwot New Cures in a 30 if anyone needs.
