Well I have really big thighs/calves, so I stay away from skinny cuts, but I sized down 3 on New Standards, and they don't even stay anywhere near my waist unless I put my belt really tight which looks retarded.


Damn you sized down 3? I sized down 1 and its a little baggy, but then again I don't have oversized thighs/calves so I wouldn't know.
But damn sized down 3, I'm pretty sure if you sized down 4 it would've been atrocious and would look like jean spandexes.

What is your actual waist size? and what size did you get?

My waist size is 34. I got a 31. I started sagging them right away though, before they stretched, so maybe that's why. I will post a pic eventually. The honeycombs looking dope though.

Dammit. I wear a 31 in New Cures, so I bought a 31 in PS and they're just a tad too big. If anyone wants them shoot me a PM.


is the waist area too big?
the waist area on my PS stretch out A LOT.

Im about to purchase some NS and need a little help on sizing. Here is a picture of my LVC Saddlemans they are a size 31. I am 6'0 148 and was thinking of purchasing a size 28 or 29 in NS but not sure which to go with to compensate for the stretching. Thanks.

my size 25 ns now measures 14.5 inches across unaligned. no belt.

in the tradition of being overly pedantic when it comes to APC fits does anyone else have this problem. My jeans (ps) look on point from every angle apart from there is some random flaring going on at the bottom when viewed from behind, just annoys me the jeans don't look as tapered when seen from the back.

so from 30" to 34" thats fuckin a lot of stretching

How can i take it out?


Put water on a towel and scrub it out.. If still has stains just leave em, gives the jeans some character haha

I'm just really lazy on my NS but I wanted a nice pair of jeans with a bit more of a relaxed fit. Once I get my NS back from the tailors I'm planning on breaking them in like crazy.


i bought APC PS in june 2009 and they were freaking tight the first few months. you gotta stick with your NS if you want a good fade contrasts asap. rescues will be tight regardless if you get the right fit. doesn't make sense to buy another pair just cuz you want a relaxed fit. i might be committing heresy by saying this, but just buy a presoaked pair if you're lazy. lol

patch and stitch. if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, bring it to your local tailor. shouldn't run you too much.

i need a little reassurance.
i just bought a pair of apc nc, size 26 and had them hemmed (no so exchanging) but they are painfully tight in the waist. my hip bones still hurt from wearing them yesterday
now, i already have a pair of 26 ps and i don't remember them ever hurting this bad. maybe i gained weight?
anyway, will these stretch out enough to allow me to breathe? how many wears?

It might not be the actualy waist itself, but right below it, like where the pockets are sewn on, at the second button level. I noticed on a pair of my sammys that the second button was alot harder to button, so I just stopped, and it was alot more comfortable

are they tight buttoned all the way to the top?

try wearing em unbuttoned and sag a lil

and you should be good

u should have difficulty buttoning the top button
