The Official A.P.C Denim Thread

Oh its quality denim, but some of the difference made me question things. Plus, I've never owned raw black denim.
February 02, 2009 @ 19:14:00
Oh really? Well that is a relief!

But what about the sizing? A new 26 should be damn tight... That isn't to that these are loose, but they seem to fit almost like my worn in NS.

i've seen somewhere that because the black uses a different dye, the fitting on them will be slightly different compared to the indigo, what colour are the selvage lines? APC only makes ones with brown base and red stitch

These are the non-selvage versions.

I'm confident that they are real though, because the selvage part can be explained: there are black ns non-selvage; I've seen plenty on hypebeast and other sites.
February 02, 2009 @ 19:27:34
how tall are you? these look off...IMO. no hate though.

5'7" it's cool homie, I'm not too sure about this 34 inseam either.

EDIT: I do what I want.

Sellmestuff, the button on my new NCs is flat, but on my old pair it was round. I dunno.

shougan, when I was trying on PSs. Size 27 had a flat button, and size 26 had a round one, so like I've said. I've seen both, but I don't know why they have different ones. About the sizing. I tried on two pair of size 27 NC both from different stores, and one fit a lot tighter than the other. I think it just depends.
February 02, 2009 @ 20:50:35
just got my apc NS today, sized down 2.5.
i wasn't able to get the top button on at the beginning of the day but after a day of wear, i can get it on.
February 02, 2009 @ 21:13:07
You should be able to tell by the quality shouldn't you? I assume the fake would be an inferior product. The buttons on my NCs are definitely rounded.

keakkk - oh ok.. sounds like you have a similar fit to what I have. Just keep tuggin them shits down until you got proper sag haha

Fake ones for the most part are identical till you see the way the but fits and the overall finish is. If you deal with APC's all day and see a pair of fakes you can surely tell.

my true waist size is in the 28-29 range... i want to get a pair of NS's, but don't know whether to get 26 or 27.. i want it to be fitted and not too skinny.. however, i tried on a pair of 2-3 month worn apc ns in 28 and they were a little bit baggy on me.. any suggestions?

26-27 would look fine, just make sure you know what you're exact waist size is and drop down 2 from there.

I'm new to the APC world and wanna get my first pair of APC soon.
I've decided to order Black Petite Standard size 26 soon but just to be confirmed about the fit blushing
Because I never wear APC Jeans before and can't find any shop here to try one smh

BTW can you guy give me one some recommendation here?

I'm wearing Nudie Grim Tim Dry Stretch Selvage and Light Rich
Blue both in size 27 but Light Rich Blue (Pre-washed) is seemed to be a better fit for me. Dry Stretch Selvage is a bit large in the thigh area.

Here's its measurement:
DSS size 27/32 : Waist 30 Rise 9 Thigh 10.5 Knee 7.5 Leg
Opening 6.7
LRB size 27/34: Waist 29 Rise 8.75 Thigh 10 Knee 7 Leg
Opening 6.5

DSS pic:

LRB pic:

What do you think? Will APC PS Black Size 26 fit for me?
I want it to fit similiar to my Grim Tim LRB blushing

And is this measurement from Context accurate?
PS Size 26: waist 28, rise 8.25, thigh 10, knee 7, leg opening 6.5

From the measurement only, both PS and my Nudie Light Rich Blue have almost the exact same size, will it fit similiar ?

Thanks a lot in advance and when I got the jean i'll show you some pic blushing

My real waist is 29" and 170 cm. tall blushing

I don't want the NC cause I want the black color which only available for NS and PS.

February 03, 2009 @ 16:10:32

excuse the dirty mirror lol
apc ns sz 28
day two
February 04, 2009 @ 13:27:38
looking at picking up some apc's and just had a question before buying...

im 6'1 and about 184lbs(i dont remember that well) and want a slim fit thats tapered at the bottom, of course not boot.

So, Im guessing the NS' will be the way I should go, but wondered if sizing down 2 from my regular 31-32 would be a bit too tight.

I wear my jeans lower but not insanely low...im too tall, haha.

Lastly, how do you keep that dark blue and starchy feel? i may be the only one that thinks this, but I like that new look the most, is this a good route for me?

you and me have a similar buld, im 6'1" and about 190.

i sized down 2 and they fit great.
February 04, 2009 @ 16:57:18
Apparently I have woman hips...I'm 6'2" and 160, and I have a 33-34 waist smh
February 04, 2009 @ 17:36:24
i bought some Black NS off some guy on sufu a couple months back and they don't have a selvedge line
they were hemmed to a 32
are these fake?

hung 10 never surfed

February 04, 2009 @ 17:41:36
^if they were hemmed, then that would be understandable... (for the selvage line)

and i have a question, for a fitted fit (which is 2 down from my true waist size), which pair should i size down 2 from to give me that fit? 28 im grim tims or 29 in slim jims? so should i get a 26 or 27 in NS's? i really don't know which size to get since i dont want it to be too skinny nor too baggy..
February 04, 2009 @ 18:41:42

bad picture but...

apc nc size 27 day 5

Lol me too then, 6'2 170lbs and 33 waist went down to a 30 on my NS though.

hahah! i havent been told that but i feel my hips are kinda odd....def not child bearing hips like some ive seen on dudes...

but yea, i gotta go up to cmonwealth this weekend and get some fits....so not being able to button the top button is normal right? it will stretch out over time?

also, no one really answered the question but is there a way to keep the dark starchy look when bought new? I like that crisp look
February 04, 2009 @ 19:31:53
^ it will stretch out over time and to keep that starchy look avoid washing/soaking for as long as possible
February 04, 2009 @ 20:31:42
dope! that was the answer i was looking for. i kept reading in the denim thread and kept getting contradicting answers....ill post up fits when i pick some up
