excuse the dirty mirror lol
apc ns sz 28
day two
Feb 04, 2009 @ 13:27
looking at picking up some apc's and just had a question before buying...

im 6'1 and about 184lbs(i dont remember that well) and want a slim fit thats tapered at the bottom, of course not boot.

So, Im guessing the NS' will be the way I should go, but wondered if sizing down 2 from my regular 31-32 would be a bit too tight.

I wear my jeans lower but not insanely low...im too tall, haha.

Lastly, how do you keep that dark blue and starchy feel? i may be the only one that thinks this, but I like that new look the most, is this a good route for me?

you and me have a similar buld, im 6'1" and about 190.

i sized down 2 and they fit great.
Feb 04, 2009 @ 16:57
Apparently I have woman hips...I'm 6'2" and 160, and I have a 33-34 waist smh
Feb 04, 2009 @ 17:36
i bought some Black NS off some guy on sufu a couple months back and they don't have a selvedge line
they were hemmed to a 32
are these fake?

hung 10 never surfed

Feb 04, 2009 @ 17:41
^if they were hemmed, then that would be understandable... (for the selvage line)

and i have a question, for a fitted fit (which is 2 down from my true waist size), which pair should i size down 2 from to give me that fit? 28 im grim tims or 29 in slim jims? so should i get a 26 or 27 in NS's? i really don't know which size to get since i dont want it to be too skinny nor too baggy..

hahah! i havent been told that but i feel my hips are kinda odd....def not child bearing hips like some ive seen on dudes...

but yea, i gotta go up to cmonwealth this weekend and get some fits....so not being able to button the top button is normal right? it will stretch out over time?

also, no one really answered the question but is there a way to keep the dark starchy look when bought new? I like that crisp look
Feb 04, 2009 @ 19:31
^ it will stretch out over time and to keep that starchy look avoid washing/soaking for as long as possible
Feb 04, 2009 @ 20:31
dope! that was the answer i was looking for. i kept reading in the denim thread and kept getting contradicting answers....ill post up fits when i pick some up
Feb 04, 2009 @ 20:39

Off topic but where do you go to school?
Feb 04, 2009 @ 21:00
I go to glencoe high school, in hillsboro.

it sucks.
Feb 04, 2009 @ 21:29

bad picture but...

apc nc size 27 day 5

They look good, can't really say about the whole fit though.
How tall are you anyway?
Feb 04, 2009 @ 22:00
thanks, i'll get better fit pics up soon

i'm around 5'9"

and i have chicken legs, if you couldn't tell already

Haven't been wearing my APCs as much as my Imperials, so I've had them for 2-3 weeks, and worn them probably for only 3-4 days.

fits good^^
Feb 05, 2009 @ 16:46
just picked up my nc's (4 1/2 months) from the tailor today, didn't have a blowout coming or anything, i just wanted to prevent it from happening

From what i've seen before this was a different way of doing it, but the only stitching was in the circle around the patch and whats holding the rest down seems to be an epoxy or fabric glue of some sort. It feels really sturdy though and i think it will keep the blowouts away.
Feb 05, 2009 @ 18:04
How much did you end up paying?
Feb 05, 2009 @ 18:13
10 bucks. Pretty reasonable, plus I had them re-sew the button hitches.
Feb 05, 2009 @ 19:41
Nice.
Feb 05, 2009 @ 20:18
I heard that the PS black version dont stretch as much. Im normally a waist 30, I can get a 27, should I?
Feb 05, 2009 @ 20:48
for petite standard, unless ur digging a really slim look, sizing down 3 would be a bad idea. I'd say 2 at most.
Feb 05, 2009 @ 21:22
I got a pair of APC NS sz 29 for sale if anyone is interested just PM me.

i sized down 3 to a 27 on the petit standards and they have stretched a decent amout. but if the black ones dont stretch as much id say go with 28s..

How much did you size down?
Feb 06, 2009 @ 12:42
Just bought my first pair of APCs. Really unimpressed with the quality. They're thinner than standard Levis. Do I have to go spend $300 to get a real quality pair of jeans?

^^ definately not, just because they are thinner does not mean they are substandard. standard levis can't compare to apc's in fading and overall construction. not to mention apc's four cuts fit way better than the slew of "standard" levis out there.

I know that the fit and fades are better, which is why I'm considering holding on to them. Its just that even the pair of 10 Deep denim that I have is heavier. I thought they were suppossed to be 15oz.
