The Official A.P.C Denim Thread

edit: this may be a stupid question but i want to confirm, when it says sz 35,36 etc it means us waist size right?, i noticed this is a european site so i wanted to make sure i didn't end up buying a sz34 and it turns out to be a 38 waist or something crazy

An inch in the U.S is the same as in France, Africa, Asia and anywhere else in the world. So a 36 inch waist on the APC website would be the same in the states.

bought my first APC newstandards pair from nomad today, great pair

its in raw black sized down 2 to a 30
December 15, 2007 @ 20:49:27
Anyone know if APC has any retailers in Atlanta? I wanna cop, but thats a lot of money to drop on denim and not know how it fits.

i ordered mine from denimbar, i sent them back and they are just gonna send me out another pair. Takes a little longer but it's worth it for decent denim.

Okay I have a quick question. I bought the APC NS in a size 34 and thats what I am in most jeans. They are very baggy. How much should I size down?
December 16, 2007 @ 20:32:47
^ Most people size down at least 2. Also trying searching the thread, your question has been answered in many of the other pages.

Sorry I shouldve done that. Thanks for your help though.

So my New Cures came in, and they're dooooooooope. I love 'em. Really sick jeans, the starching makes them nice and thick, and the length makes them stack nicely.

I recommend.

I'm still unsure as to which cut to get?..

I like a slight taper, but something straight fit I suppose.
December 18, 2007 @ 07:05:35
^ that would be the New Standard: slight taper, more straight fit then the New Cure.

For Clarity Sake
I know I'm new to HB but I feel compelled to post this. APC NS sizing, at least recently, goes something like this. A 30 tag size is 31" measured, a 31 tag size is a 32" measured, a 32" is a 33" measured--well you get the picture. Take a tape measure when you go try them on, if you don't believe me. Most guys tend to buy pants that are comfortable from the get. Buying APC NS 1-2 sizes down is only to factor in the waist stretch, but you have to consider the over all look on you and worry less about the waist.
