I wear some slim jeans, but I find it hard to stretch my legs far enough for skateboarding in some pairs.

I want to get in to nicer denim, and I was thinking of maybe going for the APC new cures. However, I also want to be able to comfortably skate.
I also don't think that I want any denim with stretchy material in it...

soo, is this possible? or would i have to just fuck it and go for a tiny bit of stretch.

EDIT. found my solution. acne max raw. not too expensive (bought them used off trees, only had one soak, really comfy and no stretch.)

you got a pretty nice fit on those.

my main thing is the crotch. ollieing and shit is fine, but flip tricks get awkward .. so yea, how's the crotch on them for flip tricks etc.?

i would think the new cures would be too slim just further restricting your movement?? i mean arent the samurais you have on the 5000vx's which are not a really slim fitting jean in comparison to the cures. If you like the fit on those jeans but odnt wanna spend so much you can go for the apc new standards and just size down a descent amount...from what ive read they stretch out a lot too which is what your looking for.

no... these are the s0500xx, which is a slim fitting jean. with skating you want something you can wash regularly or they will tear. washing shrinks them back up and strengthens the cotton. apc look like shit after more than 3 or 4 washes.

oooo ok yea and im probably going with the samurais anyway but i actually thought u had the 5000vx's so now i just need to decide which model, which is ganna be kinda hard without trying them on...i want the slimmer fit but not too slim.

hm.
so could you recommend some denim that is good for skating and still looks good after more than 3 washes?

i might end up just buying new cures and not skating them, but i'd rather get something that works all around.

which is why I skate in pre-distressed APC's, so they will continue to look the same wash after wash...

good list, i dunno if i would spend that much on denim to skate and fall though. my skate jeans are fucked up. holes in places where no holes should ever be

was thinkin the same thing
i'd rather not be paying 300-500+ Canadian for something i will probably put in to an unwearable state rather quickly.
thanks for the ideas though.

yea man,
point of posting in the denim thread was because i skate in pants.
shorts are a no-no, unless its stupidly hot and humid, but at that point, skateboarding's the last thought on my mind.

i tried to get pictures of me actually wearing them but my digital camera is messed. here's a picture of them though, except that they're a dark indigo, not black: www.activemailorder.com/etc/images/product/PKWQAA_BlackL.jpg

but yeah, my friend tried them on as a joke (knowing they would be way too tight) and now there is about a one inch whole in the crotch, so i dunno if you'd want them still even though its not very noticeable.

i can probably still skate them. what part of the 519 are you in? im in london. as long as they are tight-ish with a tapered (or at the very least, straight) leg, im good.

and i dont pay any money for skate clothes because i never buy them, hence why i am trying to get these jeans for cheap.
