I'm planning on buying a pair of RRDS should I size down 1?
November 24, 2007 @ 17:15:56
I have found a pair of jeans that i want to get. but I am clueless on sizing. Here is the info on the ones I want to buy.
Nudie Slim Jim Dry Black
32/34
Only 1 soak/dry
With about 5 days worth of wear in them
No noticeable fades anywhere but hem (because they were stacked not hemmed)

Measurements (in inches excluding hem):

Waist: 16
Leg: 17
Crotch rise: 9.5
Hem: 19cm

I dont know if they will fit, I am really skinny and I wear a size 34 waist relaxed in levis with a belt. I have long legs so I am worried about the length more. How do I decipher the measurments?
November 25, 2007 @ 19:44:47
With nudies does the length run bigger smaller or the same as levis. ?

I usually wear levis 527s 34x32...the problem is that 34s fit too loose in the thigh area and 32s fit great in the thighs but the waist is too small ?)

What jeans should I get to acheive that perfect fit..skinnies in a 36?

Hey. Do you guys know any jeans ( good or crap quality ) which fit just like Gap Morrison but with a wider leg opening ( def not bootcut.. ) ?
Thanks.

Which Cheap Mondays should I look at if I like the H&M Sliq / Uniqlo S-000 fit? And to do this should I size up/down/true? Thanks

flat head 380s are less slim than 3001's right? i'm worried my legs may be a little too big for 3001s

Hey guys, I was thinking about buying a pair of Nudie Straight Sven Selvedges and was wondering how they fit. I am 5'11 195 pounds and have pretty big thighs and hate nut huggers. Can somone post pictures or give me some advice? Thanks. Happy New Year!

I recently found a pair of Cheap monday on denimbaronline, that was selvedge and dry. Was wondering what size i should get ... normally wear a 34for a more relax fit, should I just size down to a 32? Im guessin' they will stretch but how significant?

What denim fits....
What are some brands of denim that fits similar to Levis 501?
Also, how do Gap Morrisons fit compared to Levis 501?

Can anyone post differences between Nudie Straight Svens, APC Rescues, and APC New Standards? Which fit is most similar with Levi STF's? I really like the fit of my STF's, a little slimmer than that is fine too. I sag a little and would rather my jeans be a little on the baggy side still. Which would you all recomend for me?

Thanks in advance!!
January 05, 2008 @ 14:59:46
The New Standards are akin to 501s. The Rescues are quite a bit baggier. As for the Straight Svens...I'd say they are close-ish. Even Stevens as well.

Ok thanks 1000lbs!
I decided on the straight svens.

actually one more questions:
The website says to go one size down, but ive seen on this site and others to go 2 sizes down. Which should I do? The website also doesnt sell 32x32 or 32x33. It only says 32, 33... (www.selfedge.com)
January 07, 2008 @ 21:38:23
anyone know how much longer nudie slim jims are than they advertise? im trying to decide between 32 lenth or 34.

Anyone know how H&M fits? I wear a 34x32 in Levis 511, if that helps. . .
January 08, 2008 @ 12:27:16
Well, this is personal experience, so you guys might find differently but:
In Nudies, Slim Jims specifically, I wear a 31, and it's stretched out to be comfortably loose but I don't need to wear a belt. This is sizing down one. That's what I'd recommend. I could probably have managed to go down another but it really wasn't necessary.
And I did the same for my H&M sliqs. One thing I would say about them is that they've stretched out sort of strangely. I don't think I would have wanted to go any smaller, but now, after just a couple of months of wear I've found them sort of sloppy and loose. In the thighs and knees particularly. So just be conscious of that and don't be afraid to buy them on the tight side.
Hope that made a bit of sense.

I used to wear a 30x32 in 511's. When I got a pair of Sliqs from H&M, I went to 30x30 and they fit the same that way. In my experience, for Sliqs at least, they are wider all the way down but definitely shrinkable.
