i think they r sanforized so chances r you'll get minimal shrinking, id say max 1/2 inch in the waist

Hey, so I bought some denim by Tellason and I'm wondering how much it will shrink if I soak them in cold water. 1/2 inch, 1/4 inch maybe? They're Cone Mills White Oak selvedge. Also, after wearing them for a while, how much do you think they'll stretch?

Cheers.
read their site and look for the words sanforized or unsanforized

sanforized: will not shrink with a cold soak
unsanforized: will shrink

Im not familiar with tellason denim so i cant answer your other question. In general they should increase an inch in the waist. Most denim wont stretch as much as apc so dont worry about extreme stretching in the knees or anything

Warm-Hot water, 30minutes to 1hr, then hang dry outside.
If they feel like they will be too tight after a soak, then do a cold soak 30minutes.

**If you dont know how, lay your jeans in the tub, and fill it up with the desired temperature. Then you might want to fill up some water bottles with water and lay them on top so your jeans are completely immersed in water.

Indigo run?
I'm not sure of that term, but once you take them out, it will be dripping wet, hang it over the tub for a little until there is minimal dripping then take them out.
It's best to hang dry them so they get air/heat all around, but laying them on the ground works fine.

Oh, I think he might of meant that the indigo would bleed in the water, making the water look like its blue.

Can anybody explain that one technique of getting rid of bad smell by putting your jeans in the freezer with baking soda/salt or something?

freezer kills of bacteria
and the baking soda will absorb outside odors so your jeans dont come out smellin like frozen fish or what not.

the freezer slows the reproduction of more bacteria and the existing ones either become dormant or die on their own. shouldve payed better attention in bio

Quick question.

For instance, in Vancouver it's pretty cold and wet here already. If I were to hot soak my jeans, where should I hang dry them? I know that you're suppose to hang them outside usually..will the laundry room be okay?

just make sure u either get all the excess water out or else it'll leave a nice blue puddle for u and its pretty hard to try to rub out

After soaking my jeans I usually just hang them over the shower rod and let them dry. Sometime I open the window and blow a fan on them. Works like a charm.
