Wear it everyday every second. Run with them. Play baseball and make sure you slide a lot. Get some sand paper and scrap along. Rub your ass on a wall. Use your imagination.

aight
i've had this pair of levi's for over 6 months
and i haven't washed/soaked it yet.
i think it's time to soak it.
it's starting to get a little stinky.
so do i just soak it in the bathtub for an hour
then hang dry?
and do i use detergent? if so, then what do i use?

it shouldn't disappear that much with the soak. Might be gone a little bit more with the wash, but it'll shrink it down so after wearing it for a while, the creases should come back.

you can try to use dr bonners dark or something like that if you want to retain color and clean it, but a regular soak with just water usually does the trick

Ok, so I got a pair of Converse Khakis
They're not jeans, they're a different material then jeans
Anyways, they're a little big, and I want them to fit exactly like my Levi 511 skinny jeans
So what should I do? How can I get them to fit identically like my Levis? Soak and dry?
..My last option will just be to have them tailored

im pretty sure almost every denim has some sort of starch attached to it..theres no way to get rid of all of it but to wear it roughly and wash it like frequently. you can soak which will help take away some starch but not all of it.

ahhh the smell of raw denimz &)
yea as Technique said wear it and forget it, itll go away after a few days or so
and as for starch, yea all raw denim will have starch initially, due to the process of making the cotton strands that make up the denim (starch helps strengthen the threads initially and helps with the weaving process into denim fabric if the threads are stiffer)
to get rid of most of the factory starch, an initial soak is best, and it will all come off with wear and more soaks/washes
I love to soak any denim before I wear it out, Sanforized or not, helps with the fit, makes the stacks fall right and is good for the health of the fabric smile

you only need to soak if they're unsanforized.

I have a pair of indigo slim jim's that I've had for almost 3 months now. The fades are coming in pretty dope, but I feel like they might be getting a little baggy. I kinda wanna tighten them up, would soaking them ruin the fade or anything? Anyone have any recommendations on what to do?
