Alright here is my question. I've got a pair of Nudies Even Steven, size 30 that I've been wearing for the past two months around 4 or 5 days a week. I'm not beating them up, no extreme use. They haven't been washed or soaked yet, and I'm just wondering whether a hot soak will shrink the waste back to the original size when I bought them. Also would anything else shrink, inseam, leg opening, etc? Or should I not bother with the soak and just keep wearing them?

and yeah i live in the desert, it's kind of windy this time of year so airborne dust might be a problem. should i still air dry outside or will inside my garage work?

in that case your garage can work, but it might take about....somewhere around 2hours or just alittle bit more then that

yeah i'm not really in a rush anyway... i haven't worn these guys in a few weeks because the way they fit, and i just now thought about giving them a good shrink lol.

but is there a difference in drying outside/in the sun than indoors? if there is i could probably just bring the dryrack in my front yard where there's not really any dust

theres more airflow and humidity meaning it would dry faster compared to the garage where there is barely any airflow but i think the garage is pretty humid.
if you can spare time either is fine

i know i'm being a total noob for asking this, and sorry dudes, but can i soak my cheap monday alive n drys after 1 wash to shrink em or as soon as you machine wash em are you fucked if you wanna shrink? thanks

cheap mondays are sanforized so if you were to soak a day after it would not do much, i would wait it out alittle longer then give it a soak, but if you can't help it now, soak it in hot water and it should shrink a bit

for the flatheads F380 (lol i know i've been asking like hell about these, but I don't wanna screw up my hopefully, soon-to-,be first pair of expensive jeans). Since they are unsanforized, I should do an initial soak after I get them correct? How long? warm or cold? Then is there an amount of time I should wait before the first wash? or that doesn't matter? I just don't want my fades, combs, and stacks to look retarded. thanks.

From what I've read. 20 minutes of soaking is all that is needed.

I remember kiya saying soaking below 45minutes will not do anything, so your best bet is to soak at least an hour

No, Kiya said anything LONGER then 45 min won't do anything. He did a lot of tests with denim and they didn't see any more changes in the shrinking after 20-30 min. So a 30 min hot soak will give you the same results as an hour one.

I am a 32 waist and I bought a 32 x 36..
My question is, if I wash em cold without tumbling, how much will they shrink?
I am kinda scared to wash em since I heard that they will shrink like crazy

And yes, I know I am retarded for not sizing up...

they dont shrink that much... A warm soak would be fine. Just wear em while they are a damp

LVC shrink 1-2 in the waist, 2-3 in the length.
You are supposed to size UP 1-2, so id imagine they will be hard to manage in your case.

you can't fade with a soak, a wash would lighten them up and take out some indigo. But to achieve a good/great fade, wear the hell out of your jeans. Its really the only way...plus 60% of the fun.
