get the hottest water out of your tub and fill it, soak for 30 mins completely submerged, hang dry. probably will only be temporary, im guessing there's stretch or sanforized tho.

starch
How do you starch jeans? What product do you use? Is it the powder starch stuff or liquid? DO you just get it at Grocery Store?
Sep 28, 2008 @ 20:38
just dont do it. get good creases in by yourself

jeans cant stay stiff forever
Sep 28, 2008 @ 21:06
ya
I got levi 501 stf which I know are hard to fade though^
Sep 28, 2008 @ 21:45
startching will cover the threads and make it harder to fade.

washing them will get rid of more indigo than soaking so a soak now after 3 washes probly wont do that much

iono i thought we had a debate over startching jawnz.

alright so my jeans have stretched way too much, to the point where when i tighten my belt the waist gets all scrunched up together ...

whats the best way to wash em and get maximal shrinking? just take a hot shower with soap or some shit ?)
Oct 04, 2008 @ 20:53
does putting jeans in the dryer affect them at all?
Oct 04, 2008 @ 21:51

hey guys, I have a question about some jeans. I have some A.P.C rescue denim. I've had then for about 4 months, I've worn them every day. I'm thinking about soaking them and I have a few questions.

First off should I even soak them
If so what exactly will happen to them.
How should I do it and for how long.
And is there anything I need to know before I do it?

i machine dried my FH the first time i soaked...cotton duck from sufu actually recommended i do this if i was trying to shrink them as much as possible...havent noticed any adverse affects on the jeans
Oct 12, 2008 @ 00:24
^the only problem with machine drying is the possibility of leather patches being warped. but if that doesn't bother you, then whatever whatever
Oct 12, 2008 @ 01:40
^^i warm washed and machine dried my samurais and the patch didn't get warped... i think the temp of the water may matter more.. like when people do boiling water soaks and shit

nah, i didnt have any problem with the patch...that shit is thick as fuck, i wouldnt imagine itd be warping so easily...who cares if the denim softens up a little bit anyway...jeans that feel like cardboard fit like cardboard and it looks fucking stoops

I don't have any real problems with machine washing/drying or what not.
On the whole, it's up to the user to what they do to their jeans.

I was actually on the verge of getting flatheads after my first pair of sams failed me. But I'm very satisfied with my 710s. Pretty happy with the fit. Maybe in another 6 months and another $300 earned rofl.

Oct 13, 2008 @ 22:34
^^Ryan, forreal, 7bills, 2 denims, in 2 weeks, your stacking hardcore...

Cold wash will shrink ur jeans. But it will be minimal.
Oct 14, 2008 @ 20:45
I just bought a pair of raw Levi's 511s, my problem is that they are bleeding on to my shoes, my other problem is that i'm scared to wash them to get rid of the dye because it may shrink and I really don't want it to. What can I do to fix this problem?
Oct 14, 2008 @ 21:55
you can't really help bleeding unless you want to put tape around the leg holes of your jeans.
