APC fit. Do they really stretch out?

I normally wear 34 x 32 in most cuts/ designs but for some I can go 36 x 32.
I read that APC stretch out. If so how long does it take and is it recommended that I go down 1 size or 2 sizes?
Should I just buy a 34 or a 33 ?

33, or 32 if you like the tighter fit.

they'll stretch out pretty quickly.

honestly, i'd go down 2 sizes to be safe. not only do apc jeans stretch like mad crazy, but they run 1 to 2 sizes bigger than what is tagged. in other words, you have to account for the stretching AND the weird sizing. i tried on a pair of hipsters in my usual size (30) and i was literally swimming in them. i could definitely have gotten away with a 28. unfortunately, they didn't carry my size at the time, so i couldn't find out.

I have about a 34" waist and can wear 36" in some others as well. I bought Rescues in a 33" and when I measured the waist before even wearing them they were 17.5" (35" total). The thigh is 11.8" (about 3-4" down from the top of the inseam), the knee and leg opening are both 9" and the inseam measured 37". Hope this helps some, again, I bought the APC Rescues, so not sure which style you are getting. I'm thinking I might have been able to get away with a 32", but I'm very happy with the 33".

^ not really, because there isn't much constant strain being put on the inseams. even if there is some stretch, it won't be enough to notice. it's mainly the waist you have to worry about. even then, you'll need to soak your jeans again periodically, and obviously the inseams will shrink too when you do.

I like the NEW STANDARD a bit more as the front is short by an inch.

Do you know of any place? Denimbar is sold out.

I will tempt a 32
Thanks.

I ordered a pair of New Standards from Context last week. Used a 20% off (i think) coupon I found. Came out to 115.00 shipped. Got the today, but they sent the wrong jeans (got Rescues instead). They are pretty cool about it though, said they'd resend the NS and when I get them, to send back the Rescues. Most places would make you send back the wrong item first.

Naw, they are too big (wear 33 in rescues, but ordered 34 in NS). Plus they have my debit card number on file, so they'd probably just charge me for them. If they were my size, I'd probably keep em and just pay for them, but since they are cool and shipping out the right pair first (with the return shipping label), I'll send it back. Not like workmen's who sent my LRG jacket with the theft device thing still attached. They wanted me to send it back for them to take it off then they'd resend it. I didn't want to wait over 2 weeks so I took to Macy's and they took it off for me.

Large Men's Fit Guide!
I'm a big guy. I work out and have large frame. I normally wear 38 in Levis 501. I Have 7 for all mankind jeans that fit perfect in 38. My Levis capital E fit a little loose at 38. I always wear a belt with those.

I recently ordered A.P.C. New Standards in size 36. I buttoned them up with minimal trouble. For those larger people let me tell ya these are perfect. I should have gotten size 35 actually. Right outta the box they aren't pinching my thighs or anything. By the time they stretch out they'll be perfect! I'm so glad I got the New Standards. Who would want Rescues?

This fit guide is saying what they'll be like 6 months from now. So to obtain the perfect fit:

Size Down
1 inch Too Big! Do not even consider.
2 inch- Remember they stretch, so they'll be even roomier months from now.
3 inch- Good, classic fit. Like a slimmer 501 original. Highly Recommend.
4 inch- Be patient, they'll fit eventually. Trendy slim fit.
5 inch- No way! You wan't A.P.C New Cure Jeans instead.

Everyone should size down 3 inches. Go up or down an inch if you want baggy, or slim.
