My current plan with these is ordering a pair in size 34x38.

I want it to have a pretty slim fit, since it'll still strech out where necessary for extra comfortability. My size in 511 slim is 33x34 and 33x34 on slim evisu's and puma evisus as well. And I don't mind the jeans stacking at the ankles.

So would size 34x38 be good for forming similar fit. I'm going to have a hot shower in them first and if that doesn't shrink them enough, maybe wash them in a hot cycle before use. Should I even get 34x40 if I like s stacking fit? That'd be sizing up 6" on the lenght though.

Someone mentioned that starch could help forming honeycombs. How should it be used? Just applied on some parts of the jeans?

i didnt size up at the waist on my 501's and they're still not very "slim" on me. it's a good fit though.

But most people say that you should size up at least 1" on the waist and like 3" on inseam if the jeans will be soaked. So should I just ignore them? Choosing a good size is very difficult in this case since I have no chance to try them on.

And I'm still thinking of going for 38" inseam since I'm quite tall and I might cuff them anyway.

So for a relatively slim fit (not like cheap monday though) I should choose a waist size that is true to my size or maybe even size down 1"?

i wore mine for about 5 days to loosen them up a bit, and did a luke warm soak for about 1.5 hours (inside out, to prevent indigo loss). i let them drip dry for about 10-15 minutes, and wore them til they dried out. so far they're looking great, and i've only had them for under 2 weeks.

did that work...or did you lose some color?

Any images on how they look now?

I think I might go with not sizing up at all as well.

I bought 33x38 and they are way too big on the legs. :/

Any info on how much a long hot soak will shrink the leg endings or the leg width in general? Should've gotten something like sz 31.

a nice warm-to-hot soak will definitely shirnk things up. let them rest in there for at least an hour or so... inside out, and be sure to keep some dinner plates or something heavy on-top to weigh them down.

STF's are crap at fading. Once you guys try a pair of premium quality denim, you'll agree.

Has anyone ever had a pair of cheap mondays , and if so , how was the fading/honeycombing/whiskers and crap after a while of wear?

hot soak = more shrinkage right?
cold soak = less shrinkage right?
how long should 1 soak these for? 1-2 hours?
whats the difference when u soak them inside out to regular?
less fadin right?

Shrinkage is mostly in length, and a bit of a tighter fit all around. I soaked mine for an hour in warm water inside out, and it didnt fade at all according to my eyes.

I'd recommend a warm to hot soak for 2-3 hours (inside out for less loss of color/fading). Also, don't bother constantly checking on the jeans and poking them or w/e as that'll agitate them, and make you lose more indigo.

You're right about not agitating them. However, whether you soak them inside out or not, it does not make any difference. How would it at all?
