Im looking for a good first pair of selvage denim so I don't mess up ones I drop a stack on. Kinda looking for tapered. I was thinking APCs or Levi's, yeah?

Unbrandeds were my first pair. Great entry level denim. Then I tried Nudie, horrible choice. Then I moved to APCs which are also good for entry level.

A stack is a large amount of money, im looking for less than 200 on first pair. Prolly 150-170 range. And thanks for the input guys. I'll look at all the options. I have looked at Naked and Famous, mixed reviews. And APCs look good not too wide of a selection though. And I'll check out Nudies. Are most raw? And if it doesnt say sanforized, them assume they aren't?

After owning a pair of Naked & Famous, Unbrandeds, and APCs. I have to say that the APCs are/were my favorite.

For me it went, APC > Naked and Famous > Unbranded.

I went Petit Standard for my APCs, Skinny for my Unbrandeds, and Skinny Guy for my N&F. Just some input.

Yeah if you can find a pair of N&F then get that for your first pair.  If not get a pair of Unbrandeds.  They're cheap as fuck for nearly 15 oz denim.

get some 3sixteen it doesnt stretch as much as APC
easier to find a fit that works for you imo compared to APC's vanity size.

unbranded fit horrible for me I'm 6 3 tho. way too tight. nudies skinnies have a weird fit too they are too tight in thigh & then not skinny enough in the leg....
