The fit as a whole seems different, the 201s seem super tight up top and flared towards the bottom and the 701s seem a lot more consistent throughout.

I'd say that the 701 are closer to the Sam710s, the Flathead Bsp.'s are slimmer throughout

39" mine are hemmed but I forget what length tho, the blue inseam isn't really noticeable when you're wearing them
