i dont even know. i've posted in the apc and naf thread already and gotten nothing.

i'm looking for a slim fitting selvedge raw indigo jean that isnt SUPER skinny. something quality, I was thinking petit standard because I heard that its sorta skinny but not TOO skinny. I fit a 30 in uniqlo chinos when i sag a little. i can wear 30s and not sag w/ a belt too. so i still am not sure what size to get either.

there are tons of options... if you're not looking to spend too much, i'd probably recommend either naked and famous skinny guys or APC petit standards.

the sizing depends on the jean, for APCs you normally want to size down 2-3. i'm not so sure about naked and famous. i think you size down about the same amount as APC, but you could easily find that out by looking through the N&F thread.

forgot to included unbranded UB101s. another good option if you're new to raw denim and on a budget.

So what do I go with? 28 or 27? And will they be super tight the first time I put them on? Also, how does cleaning raw denim work?

stretching and vanity sizing. What's your true waist/ where you wear your pants?

I'm like a 29/30 and a 29 weird guy N&F is a nice skinny fit with out being overly skinny. I should have gotten a 28 which you may want to look at.

PS for me in a 27 which is down 2 or TTS depending how you look at it, is a lot skinnier than a 29 WG. Perhaps PS size down 1 for you. Not sure how skinny you want to go.

But I suggest you just measure a pair of jeans you like and if they're not as skinny as you want try pinning the denim till its as tight as you want it and measure or just try and visualize how much you should take off to get the fit you want and compare to other companies measurements.

i'd size down at least 2. the waist is gonna stretch, and it's gonna be expensive to get them tailored without messing up the selvage line. honestly though, spend some time looking through the APC thread and determine how to size based on pictures of fits you like in there.
