I emailed them for more info on the pair but only got that its "mid-weight" and was woven on a 1940's era loom.

Probably a limited thing. Most stores of this type (Gap, J. Crew, Abercrombie, etc.) only release selvage jeans once in a while.

I work in a mall with an AE store, might go in and take some pictures on my lunch break... If they look good, I might wait for these to show up on the clearance rack.

I don't think these will be in stores at all. AE's "premium" denim are online only. I've already ordered a pair to see how they are. Will stay posted.

They didn't cost much so I'm thinking or experimenting with them. See how they turn out. The only thing I'm really concerned about is the weight of the denim. The pictures make them look super thin and I was told they were "mid-weight." If they end up being too lightweight and not worth it, I may just return them.

They'll probably be really thin. "Mid-weight" is probably much lighter for the general public than it is for denim enthusiasts. I would guess that they are 12 oz. at most as far as denim weight goes.

I am hoping these big companies don't start to produce this type of denim on a large scale, not in limited quantities. Cause to be honest I would hate to have retards acting like they know what real raw denim is.
