So I'm now at four months. Should I give a soak or a wash? This is my first raw denim experience, so I'm unsure.

just wear them til their death.... don't preoccupy yourself with washing and soaking.... just dont care and do everything in them

modernART, have you ever thought about cuffing them? I can't help but think that the inseam is an inch or two away from a perfect fit.

thanks for the input, reversal. the inseam has definitely been bugging me for a while now, but i'm still unsure on what to do. i have a few options -

1. as you said, cuff them. i've never really been a big fan of cuffing my jeans (actually, come to think of it, i've never cuffed my jeans), so i'm pretty reluctant with doing it with the unbranded, but it's something i would consider as a last resort.

2. i can hem them, but i've read a lot of comments from people on forums saying you should never hem before the first wash because of shrinkage. if i do decided to hem them, though, the next question becomes, how much of a hem and should i taper?

i think for now i'm going to leave them as-is and maybe by the end of march i'll have a better idea of what i want to do.

as a little FYI for anyone who has been following my progress, the unbranded skinny has a 36" inseam (according to the unbranded website) and my jeans before the unbranded (APC new cure and new standard) had a 34" inseam, so that 2" difference definitely makes a difference.

has anyone seen any posts of fades on either the black or gray denim? I have a pair of gray that I got back around christmas and I'm just now starting to wear them somewhat regularly, but I'm just really curious as to how those colors turn out

My local UrbanOutfitters have their BDG SELVAGE DENIM Skinny and Straight fit on the sales rack now! There's also some super cheap $30> outerwear too.
I just bought a size 32 skinny fit for $33 w/ tax.
There's size 30, 33, 34 at my store.

Anyone have these? Do they stretch?

how much do you think the denim shrank after the first wash? second wash?

Waist shrank quite a bit but stretched back to a comfortable level. Inseam is noticably shorter. Maybe an inch? Possibly a bit more. I lost way more indigo through the 2nd wash than the 1st. o.0 My combs have a lot of contrast now.
