Urbanoutfitters - unbranded 14.5 oz japanese selvage denim

Oct 30, 2010 @ 21:13
i just got the tapered tts (32) , and when i got home i was regretting not choosing the 31s. it took a few seconds for me to put the top button for the 31's , but the calf area was pretty tight as i have big calves, but will it stretch ( the waist and calf area) ? btw these are my first pair of selvedge jawns .

forgot to add that i can button up the 32's easily , if that helps

get the 31's.

after 2 weeks 32's maybe too big.

Actually idk, ive read on here that these dont stretch that much. like 1/2-1 inch at the waist. but it's up to you.

well since i cant easily button up a 31 , when it does stretch in lets say 2 weeks , will i be able to button it up easily ?

definitely.

i would say in general, denim will stretch as much as it needs to fit you.

last question , does the area below the knee stretch at all ? cuz thats my only problem w/ the 31's , i was struggling in the change room trying to take em off lol

these are xarticulate's tapered sized down one.. id stick with the 32 your TTS since you said you have big calfs and since these only stretch .5 to an inch , which you probrably wont even notice. but if you want a skinny fit like xarticulates just size down one.

Okay so after a few days of wear, they stretched pretty good for me. Not hella tight in the calf area anymore.

I've had a pair for nearly 2 months and I've been wearing em atleast 5 times a week and nothing is happening to em!
Nov 01, 2010 @ 23:08
what do you mean ? no fades?
Nov 01, 2010 @ 23:20
i like the 1969 raw selvege over the urban outfitters..just felt the need to drop that
Nov 01, 2010 @ 23:26
what do you mean ? no fades?

Yeahhhh. I mean like I have no combs or whiskers. I have a cell phone fade on my back pocket though.
Nov 01, 2010 @ 23:54
combs and whiskers won't come in for another 2 months or so.
personally, my whiskers and combs took a long time to actually show fades
Nov 02, 2010 @ 13:50
I find that the skinnies fade faster in the combs than the tapereds.
Nov 02, 2010 @ 15:27
noob question...is wearing these in the snow or rain a no no?
Nov 02, 2010 @ 16:04

Nov 02, 2010 @ 16:41

The fried is box; the box is fried.

Nov 02, 2010 @ 18:20
^ You're right about not babying jeans but if they get wet in the rain or snow they'll probably end up bleeding and that's probably not what you'd want (yet). Unless you were washing them or something lol
Nov 02, 2010 @ 19:38
bought the grey and black tapereds for cheap....the low rise sux dick though, these are getting returned
Nov 02, 2010 @ 20:59
rather spend my money on quality selvage.
Nov 02, 2010 @ 21:01
You do that then.

These are good for the money.
Nov 03, 2010 @ 18:31
UO unbranded taper just came in. theyre tight as fuck and stiff as fuck. The waist is soooo tight, took lots of effort to put them on, and theyre way too skinny
Nov 03, 2010 @ 18:44
did you stay true to size or did you size down?
Nov 03, 2010 @ 18:46
true to size
Nov 03, 2010 @ 19:22
Shut up and wear them.
Nov 03, 2010 @ 20:02
How much do the tapered stretch on waist, thighs, calfs areas?
Nov 03, 2010 @ 21:32
The waist will barely stretch, probly half an inch. And the rest just depends on how tight they are in those areas.
