waist size?

why do the tapered ones look skinnier than the skinnies on the site

i currently wear 514's but im looking for something that sits on authentics better... don't know if should get tapered or skinny

I wear a 30 in Levis 511 and I got a 28 in UO Tapered. I hotsoaked it the day before so I'm stretching it back out after it shrunk. I think tts tapered is decent for authentics. I'll use authentics the next time I take a fit pic.

i was passing by UO and decided to give these a second chance since i needed some knockaround denimz

this time i sized up 1 to a 30 since they dont seem to come in 29 and the 28 was balls tight when i tried it last time

these are the skinny fit...picture quality is horrendous (thanks blackberry) but you get the basic idea of the fit...i had a front view pic but it came out even worse so ill have to re-add one when i get another chance...fit is pretty solid on these, like the way the seat fits, which is an issue that i have with a lot of jeans, but not these...fairly impressed with the overall fit which is more of a slim/skinny than a super skinny..will need to hem

oh and a word of advice...do not size down on these...true or +1 is the way to go

idk about the other cuts but for the skinny cut, i would strongly advise you adhere to this

edit: im probably going to customize the tag with a paint pen..not sure what im going to put yet

So none of UO stores I've been to have ever carried these. But the other day I happened to stop into one, and I noticed a pair hanging on a rack all by themselves and the price tag had been re-tagged, so I'm thinking maybe someone ordered online, didn't like them, and returned them to the store. So anyways..it was just by luck that they had this ONE pair, and they happened to be tapered fit and size 31 (1 size down for me as I normally wear 32). Guess I was in the right place and the right time so I scooped them up for $75. I'll try to get a fit pic later

MonguL here's what ended up happening: when i ordered, the charge was from PA but the tracking page said it was from georgia, and then it updated after it said it was shipping from Georgia, and it was delivered i think 2 days later. lol on packagetrackr it said it'd take 544 days lmao but it all worked out, the charge showed up completed after it was delivered too. and these jeans are nice, i think the quality is solid especially for the price. might have been able to size down to a 31 but i decided to go up half a size from my waist (31.5 up to a tagged 32) and personally i think the fit is good, especially for what i was going for. they feel loose but actually look a lot better and i'm wearing a belt to stop the waist from stretching much more, so i'm very happy with how they fit.
