After a VERY long hiatus from trying these on, i've decided to get them tapered by a tailor even more before starting to wear them again.  Gonna start wearing these as my main jeans from now on.

Fiending to cop some Unbrandeds soon...they seem to be really cheap for raw selvedge. I wouldn't know because I've never had a pair of raws, but I'm thinking of copping a pair of their Straight Fit Heavyweight 21 oz raw selvedge. On their site, they say to size down one---I'm a 32 in regular, preshrunk jeans, but the fact that they're raw but sanforized is confusing the shit out of me.

To deal with the shrinkage, should I just cop in my regular size (32), which I guess is like an Unbranded 33, and let it shrink a size? Plus, the inseam on those is 34.5. I'm usually a 32x30, but I can deal with 32x32. Even though they're sanforized, are they going to shrink enough from 34.5 all the way to at least 32? Because fuck it seems like they don't have any jeans on their website that are less than 34.5 in. inseam. Anyone know what's up on this?

On their site, they say to size down one---I'm a 32 in regular, preshrunk jeans, but the fact that they're raw but sanforized is confusing the shit out of me.

To deal with the shrinkage, ...
They're sanforized, which means pre-shrunk, so even with a hot wash, they'll shrink like 1/2" in the waist, and legs. I had a pair for 2 years (UB101, size 33), and they measure exactly 33" around the waist. They hardly stretched either.

They only come in 1 length, so prepare to cuff, stack, or get them hemmed.

What you want to do for sizing, is to measure your current pair of jeans. Then match up that measurement with the actual waist measurement of the Unbrandeds to find your size.

You have a pair of tagged 32 jeans, right? Hypothetically, You measure them, and they actually measure 34". You would then go to
http://www.rueandstate.com/products/unbranded-321-heavyweight-21-oz-straight-japanese-raw-denim-jeans
or
http://blueowl.us/scripts/psp/VB_Bridge3.dll?VBPROG=\bin\shop.prodt.detail&SKU=7658002

And look at their sizing chart. As you can see, size 33 has a measured waist of 34".
Therefore, you should order a size 33". (Or go down a size, and plan on brute forcing the waist)
(Measure and compare the thigh, knee, rise, leg opening as well)

Just compared my WG Deep indigos to my new 301s, and I think its weird that the 201s/WG have a bigger thigh than the 301s.

Will they stretch? or should I exchange for a size up?
