Most rulers mark ever 1/8 inch.
5/8 in = 0.625 in.

no. just get it tapered.

How much does it cost to get it tapered like a Levis skinny leg opening. And do you have any pics on how it would look?

My tailor did my N&F skinny guys for like $20

This is what my ub 101 stacks look like right now. If tailor the leg opening you think i will see a big change? AndI know the ub 101 leg opening is 14in should i get them down to 10in?

1. They look good.
2. If you don't like them you can have the tailor make them look exactly how YOU want. There's no "standard" that tailors use to taper every pair of jeans.
3. If you have it changed to 10" you can count on not being able to put your jeans on again unless you're an infant or want your jeans to look like this:

Nah. The difference is that the APC measurements you see are of the jeans laid flat on the ground and measured straight across the opening to get the length while UB doubles that number to account for the total opening. Lay your jeans on the ground and measure them the way I first described and I bet the number you'll find is 7 +/- about 1/4 of an inch. Compare THAT number to APCs and you'll probably find that it isn't far off.

Wouldn't taper jeans lower than 12. 10 is too extreme

This, heard the blacks reek of a sulfur-ish smell. Black jeans in general are harder to fade, and I'm sure some people posted fit pics of the blacks earlier in the thread, you have to dig through

i owned a pair of blks, quality was great, but they stunk. had to hot / vinegar wash several times to get most of the smell out, and i still ended up giving them away.

i never had any to try. i googled some shit, and saw that a lot of people recommended white vinegar, so i went and got like 3 bottles of that shit or something and mixed it with hot water in the tub for hours. i was afraid of color loss, but it never happened or damaged the jeans in any way.

if i had to do it again, i'd prob soak in a gallon of white vinegar only (in a small bucket) for a long long long time, and then do hot/cold/whatever rinses. oh i did baking soda i think too. so i did vinegar washes, and separate baking soda washes. i forgot about that shit. it brought the smell down a lot, and didnt ruin the jeans in any way. they were really nice / comfortable, but the smell still wasnt 100% gone.
