^^im 100% with you on that. and on top of that...im really skeptical about how good the 21oz denim is and how it will fade
the regular ones do fade alright, but id rather invest my time in some nicer fading jeans

i'm not really worried about that at all, ub denim is great imo, especially for the price. many people in this thread have great fades, and i love the pair of 101s that i have. once i see more of these, and figure out what size / style i want to get, i plan on getting a pair, even though it may not be right away (i have a ton of stuff to wear, and i'm not trying to wear 21oz denim when it's still warm out).

ub makes nice denim, and im not trying to knock ub or nf, just trying to be realistic about a product, with a great price point.

So what does the 21oz mean? just go to be smoother and fade faster than the 14.5oz?

I love UB denim.
Definitely the best denim under $100, and for a 21oz for sub $100? Awesome.
I personally love the heavier denim.

I think heavier denim fade slower, but they fade more "deeper" if that make sense.
Creases and folds will be set stronger, more profound whiskers, combs and stacks.

Example (N&F 21oz)

A lot of people got their ele2s for $70 so they were an even better deal

Those who busted the button seams were stupid in rushing into buttoning them instead of letting the denim get softer an more pliable (not stretching out because theyre tight)

Button wise is a legit problem for UB though lol

The fits aren't necessarily 100% the same. I noticed 'straight' fit is actually flared while the slim guys are pretty straight. The skinnies have more thigh room than the skinny guys. The tapereds have a slimmer knee and a less taper than the weird guys.

tapered are more roomier and relaxed on the thighs and from there they taper down to a narrow leg opening

101's sized up two. Approx. 2 years, on and off wear. 2 washes.

I highly recommend to people that if you're going to get the skinnys, SIZE UP. These barely stretched at all. Never had any buttons fall off. I think these fade great if you commit to wearing them often and are active in them.

Was a disappointing sale.
Unbranded for 15% off => $66 + $15 US shipping (PER PAIR) = $81 per pair.

cause all dem frail kids wear skinny.

I'm a 32 so hoping they restock soon. Prefer skinny over the straights for chinos.

I had got a pair in my TTS waist (34) and couldn't close the buttons all the way and I had exchanged them for a 36. my exchange pair is coming in this week and im hoping to get that perfect fit
ill post up a fit when i can for reference
i had thought about keeping my sz34 pair and trying to stretch them but i don't think they can stretch that much

btw im 6'1 slim and weigh about 180 lbs

Urban is corny yes but so called hipsters have been wearing selvage denim for years. Go to a rosebowl flea market and that's all you'll see. The vans and selvage jeans have been as hipster as u can get since the begining.

@church Looking good! Keep us updated over the months.

---------------------
Taken about a month ago at ~6pm, so the sun was shining right at them.
Skinnies at about 20 months. 2 soaks, 1 wash.

@muhstakes id say my legs are big but not huge, if you have skinnier legs just go with the skinny size up 2. look at the measurements on blueowl.us for reference
