^^ if you can't button them I would send them back. They stretch but not that much.

In 5hours of wear i could button up 3 buttons just needed 1 more
be careful with that top one, 99.99999999999999999% sure it will break off. if/when it does, don't bother with the replacements, try to find something more sturdy from a local tailor or crafts store and replace it yourself.

I just got done waiting 7 days and paying $5 to have some lady put a "snap" type button on my UBs, because no one could get the replacement buttons to work. The rivet snaps into the top of the button and took 5 seconds to put on, so I clearly overpaid.

To breathe new life into this thread.
Found a pair of Straight fit at my local UO for $40. Tried them on, but too loose for my liking.
Decided to take a comparison picture with my Skinnies at 19 months, 2 soaks/1 machine.

At the Westwood UO. Very limited amount on the clearance rack.
I assume they are returns by the looks of the half set in combs.
Size 33 Skinnies, size 32 straight fit perfectly.

Those were size 32, if I remember there were 28, 32, and 36. Don't quote me though.
I recommend calling in though.

I copped a pair of skinnys awhile back.
The stacks are fat as fuck, pics later, but should I get them tapered?
Oh and how do I get these more comfy, they're stiff as hell. Hot soak with them on?

I recommend -1 for Tapered.

@ Masamune, Do you mean a hem? The more you wear them the comfier they get.

Na, i dont mind them being long i just dont like how the stacks look, so should i get them tapered?
and is a hot soak necessary?

Just fix them occasionally to how you prefer before the stacks settle completely. Tapering would help, but it's definitely not necessary. People with baggy Levi 501 can have really dope stacks.
Maybe try a different pair of shoe just to set in the stacks.

Nothing is ever necessary
If I understand directly, you want to soften the denim. Yes, soaking can remove some of the starch, and soften the denim. Hot water would shrink the denim slightly and shed some of the indigo dye. So hot/cold, up to you.
I would personally just wear the jeans until they soften up.

Hate me for it.....this is my first pair of raw selvedge denim. I got a pair of tapered fit....size 30, which is what I wear in Levi 511s. So why is it I can't even get these to button all the way? I can get one button. Do I really have to just wear them until I can button them?

Never owned raw denim before and im about to buy some of the Unbranded Indigo Tapered Selvedge Denim Jean from UO and just wondering if someone could answer a few questions for me

I own no denim at all and i was wondering is the length and width the same?

What do you do if they start to smell? Do you have to wash them then or is there another way to get rid of the smell?

How bad do they bleed onto shoes?

fabreeze is a temporay solution, some people freeze their jeans to take away the smell. or if they just get too bad soaking will take away the smell..
