so i got my size 28 tapered in.

Now...I cannot button the top button for the life of me. They are tight as shit around my waist...idk if I should keep or return?
Anyone had any type of stretching at all? I am super iffy. I like the fit, leg opening is a bit big, but yeah.

its been a week. worn them everyday. no signs of stretching on the waist. still can't button the top. i went down 2 sizes. fits the way i like it though.

what waist size did you get?
my main problem is that its 28 or nothing...UO does not sell them in 29, so i am fucked. If i go 30, I know they are going to be too loose/big.

yup. i'll post update pics today. no signs of pocket wear though cause i hate pocket fades

and regarding the patch, unless you wear an XXS where the shirt ends above the belt loop, you have nothing to worry about. my belt covers most of the patch, but even then, my entire shirt, jacket, dress shirt, etc. all covers it.

the SINGLE issue i have about the jeans is the 2 lines of stitching on the inner thigh. i'm used to none or 1 (APCs only have 1). i may remove 1 line though, since i have a seam ripper.

the two lines of stitching are for support i dont even believe in investing in denim unless they are chainstitched

I just copped a pair of the tapered yesterday, went TTS. If anyone remember my other post where I said I couldn't go TTS, I think it was the fact that it was the Skinny fit. I didn't noticed until I saw the leg opening difference

I picked up the straight leg pair in a 34, which is what I usually wear in everything else. They are much more baggy than I like, but I plan on tapering them sometime this week and then I will put up fit pics. Overall, I'm not overly satisfied, but for $80 they will do. They are nowhere near as stiff as a pair of high end denim would be but are a little bit stiffer than 501s. The coloring is a really dark blue, I expected it to be a little lighter. The stitching and details are definitely of higher quality than 501s, but the buttons are pretty ugly in my opinion. The size of the patch and back pockets doesn't seem to be that much greater than those on my other jeans, so I'm happy with that.

I'm not sure if anyone else pointed this out, but they are made in China.

The black jeans in the picture are tapered 501 stfs in 34x34, the blue ones are tapered FH F380s in size 33, and the raw ones are the unbranded. let me know if you want any other pictures

yeah, it's all a matter of how you want them to look and feel. despite the fact that i went down 2 sizes on the tapered fit and despite the fact that i still can't button the top button after 1 week of wear, i really like the fit. It doesn't feel too tight to the point i feel overwhelmed.

Baho went down 2 and he can fit the top button perfectly. But he probably prefers a baggier fit compared to what i like.

It's all a matter of preference.
