2 months ago I bought a pair of UQ S002 in dark blue selvage (red stripe), donut button, cost around 3990Y ($40), Made in China. Does anyone know if these are actually RAW? Or maybe One Wash?

BTW, free hemming at UQ in Japan is awesome. Finished 2 pairs of my pants in 15 minutes, no joke! Compare that to a couple of days for UQ in NY.

They're raw, just not great quality. But still, for $40 you won't find better raw denim.

I believe they are slim straight.

Does anyone know if NY still carries the T-002 Khaki colour denim or is it only 001s?

They carry the MIJ's in regular, straight, and slim straight cuts

Just copped a pair of selvedge S-001's today (www.uniqlo.co.uk/catalogue/men/uj-jeans/407884-blue-slim-fit-straight-jeans). I'm new to this whole selvedge denim thing so I don't really know where I should start with them. Are these raw and/or sanforized? Should I do a hot soak? I sized up one; my normal waist size was way too small for some reason, maybe because I picked em up in Korea where everyone is skinny as fuck.

Got a pair of raw S-001's, should I do a hot or cold soak? Or just wear them? I need them hemmed up because they're way too long so should I take care of all the soaking before I get them hemmed up?

^ It doesn't matter. They're sanforized so they aren't going to shrink at all. Personally, I'd just wear them because a soak is unnecessary unless you don't like dealing with the initial layer of starch/dye.

^ All Uniqlo denim is made with 1% spandex, so they're going to stretch. Size down 1 and you'll be fine.

i never understood sizing down when the product doesn't "tell" you to. i got some of that japanese selvedge stuff at uniqlo, and i went true to size. they're less stiff than a month ago, but i wouldn't say they've stretched considerably. it's just more comfortable, it's not like a whole size difference.

maybe you should move to london, where the west end has like 4 uniqlos within a mile of each other. lol.

oh, it was a straight cut.
