The Official Uniqlo Thread

I apologize if this has been answered before.

2 months ago I bought a pair of UQ S002 in dark blue selvage (red stripe), donut button, cost around 3990Y ($40), Made in China. Does anyone know if these are actually RAW? Or maybe One Wash?

They're raw, just not great quality. But still, for $40 you won't find better raw denim.

aww man they only had dark gray and light gray for tapered fit -.-

For anyone who's had experience with the MIJ's: how do they size? I'm usually a 30-32 waist. Would a 28 be impossible to work with? thanks in advance
Jul 06, 2010 @ 14:29
^ Go with a 29, I don't think a 28 is even sold in the US
Jul 07, 2010 @ 03:53
Anyone selling khaki t-000 in 33 or 34?

Or is uniqlo still carrying them?
Jul 07, 2010 @ 20:12
Hey I'm having trouble choosing between a pair of Uniqlo selvedge with the red tab or the newly released levis kaihara matchsticks. Any ideas?
Jul 08, 2010 @ 03:22
no more tapered khakis =[

Yeah I meant to type 29, was a typo. Thanks for the help.
Also, are the made in japan's considered their slim or skinny model?

I believe they are slim straight.

Does anyone know if NY still carries the T-002 Khaki colour denim or is it only 001s?

They carry the MIJ's in regular, straight, and slim straight cuts

Just copped a pair of selvedge S-001's today (http://www.uniqlo.co.uk/catalogue/men/uj-jeans/407884-blue-slim-fit-straight-jeans). I'm new to this whole selvedge denim thing so I don't really know where I should start with them. Are these raw and/or sanforized? Should I do a hot soak? I sized up one; my normal waist size was way too small for some reason, maybe because I picked em up in Korea where everyone is skinny as fuck.
Jul 16, 2010 @ 12:33
Hey guys, are the T-000 waist size 1-2 inches looser than the tag size?

Anyone with 34 waist tag size don't mind measuring it for me? Thanks.

Since September

What are the variety of fits for uniqlo? Like, what version is super skinny, skinny, or slim? Thanks!
Jul 17, 2010 @ 22:47
T-000 - Tapered/Super Skinny
S-001 - Straight/Skinny
S-002 - Straight/Normal
S-003 - Straight/Loose

Thanks bro!

Got a pair of raw S-001's, should I do a hot or cold soak? Or just wear them? I need them hemmed up because they're way too long so should I take care of all the soaking before I get them hemmed up?
Jul 19, 2010 @ 15:36
^ It doesn't matter. They're sanforized so they aren't going to shrink at all. Personally, I'd just wear them because a soak is unnecessary unless you don't like dealing with the initial layer of starch/dye.
Jul 24, 2010 @ 21:37
I wanna cawp the regular fit straight jeans (w/ selvedge lining). The problem is I don't live in NY and can't try them on... So how do I go about sizing on these?

I think these are it (link taken from weezy f): http://www.uniqlo.co.uk/catalogue/men/uj-jeans/407884-blue-slim-fit-straight-jeans
Jul 24, 2010 @ 22:28
^ size down 1 from your true size
Jul 24, 2010 @ 23:19
so you're implying that they stretch roughly 1 inch or so?

i think im finna order these online w/o trying them on beforehand, too dope and cheap to pass up.
Jul 25, 2010 @ 12:25
^ All Uniqlo denim is made with 1% spandex, so they're going to stretch. Size down 1 and you'll be fine.
Jul 25, 2010 @ 13:04
thanks. i might actually do this.
Jul 25, 2010 @ 13:52
i never understood sizing down when the product doesn't "tell" you to. i got some of that japanese selvedge stuff at uniqlo, and i went true to size. they're less stiff than a month ago, but i wouldn't say they've stretched considerably. it's just more comfortable, it's not like a whole size difference.

maybe you should move to london, where the west end has like 4 uniqlos within a mile of each other. lol.

oh, it was a straight cut.
Jul 27, 2010 @ 19:22
yeah i'm definitely going to try their premium jap. selvage when i go down to ny. ^^^if what our saying is true, then i can go tts on them?
Jul 27, 2010 @ 20:18
i think you should. it'll still feel stiff, but at least it'll fit.
Jul 27, 2010 @ 20:27
they never pick up my phone calls smh
Jul 27, 2010 @ 20:35
lol'd
Jul 28, 2010 @ 08:20
