i need some help with any LVC experience.
im looking to buy the 1967 505 raws. is it absolutely ridiculous to size down on these? i know theres a zipper fly, but i need them in a 33x36 and i cant seem to find that anywhere. so anyone whose got insight to sizing on these please help. also do they stretch much in the waist?

^^ i wouldnt size down with stf, at most go with either tts or up one, but generally u want to go 2 up from true waist, and 3 up for inseam. stretch is gonna happen but as long as u stay within the 2 up u should get a solid snug fit

While I size down with normal STFs, definitely don't size down for LVC '47s, or they'll be too small.

-traCk- LVC's run a size small anyway so you definitely don't want to size down. They also shrink a fair amount when you soak them. I bought a pair of 1947's TTS and now wish I would have sized up one on them. They stretch a good amount after wearing them.

i got it from one in the san fernando valley. im not sure if they have it in every NR but i found it in size 29 and exchanged it for my size at a store.

(right)LVC 1947 501. 4 months of wear. 1 presoak, 3 steaming hot soaks trying to get out super glue. ended up cutting out the spot and patching it up.

wish mine looked like those 47s..sad

some shots of my 4 month LVC 1937 501. light wear. the photos make them look a much lighter shade than they really are, cos they were taken in bright sunlight.

patch looks cool




mine dont look all that great tbh, and the pics dont do them any justice because they look so much darker in real life. you can see in the last shot that the denim around the patch is dark, thats a very accurate colour of what it looks like really. denim is very slow to fade, i just dont do biking or anything extreme in them.

I'd recommend buying 2 sizes up. For example, a size 32" will more likely be a size 31"... with shrinkage... even less.

You don't wanna size down on them... You wanna size up. Unlike most japanese denim makers which shrink to tagged size, LVC shrink FROM tagged size.

If you are a natural 30 waist you'd want to get at least a 31-32 tagged size. Since it'll shrink 2 inches or so depending and then stretch a little with wear.

If you sized down 2, 28, they would shrink to a 26 which is probably unwearable.
