How do you keep your denim smelling good?

Also freezing helps. Btw how does dry cleaning your jeans work? Is there any indigo loss or shrinkage or anything?

take hot ass showers make yo legs dry = no sweat/moisture = smell like jawnz for months

There's no indigo loss, but I've been told by Blue in Green staff that in unsanforized raw denim, there is a small amount of shrinkage with dry cleaning.

That's right. We all know heat is the enemy of clothing so dry cleaning will shrink the jeans but it's definitely an option.

Doobie recommended taking a hot shower to let the steam clear the smell. Again heat may shrink the denim but in the case of a hot shower, probably not enough to notice, or very little so that it's easy to stretch back out.

I'd def recommend just letting them air out for a day and febreezing them or throwing them in the freezer overnight via airtight ziploc bag works too (for the badboy jeans, let them sit in the freezer for a week)

Hahaha actually I've got to agree with you. I don't have much experience with 501's (they had a very short career on my legs before I moved to APC) but my APCs have yet to hit the freezer. Maybe we just haven't been wearing 'em enough eh? :p

doesnt really help much. maybe if you put some arm and hammer in there with them for a very long period of time.

i've never had a problem with smell and i've been wearing denim pieces everyday for months on end. i do let my jeans hang up every night to air out and i would probably spray some fabreeze if they ever were to start smelling.

You guys can always hang dry your jeans overnight outside. As long as it doesn't rain and you can hang them up freely on a clothes hanger or somewhere where they won't be touching anything besides the hanger, the cool air will air them out pretty good. Do it for a couple of nights and they shouldn't smell.

I bought some new Levi's the other day and after wearing it three times, it began to smell. So I threw them in the freezer 2 days ago! Hopefully this work since this is the first time I have done this.

My jeans were starting to smell like ass too so I put them into the freezer last night. I'll try for the 24-hr freeze and see how it goes tonight!

febreeze usually does the trick for light smells. something like a campfire though just give them a quick handwashing in the tub nothing to intense though.

Agreed! To wear your jeans for a couple days and they smell like ass means ONE THING...YOU SMELL LIKE ASS AND NEED A SHOWER!!! I've honestly went months without washing my denim and never had a smell lol! I'm just a clean person who like to wash the dirt out of my jeans naturally...

Some people sweat more than others do, and some people just get more BO than others do. If you can wear your jeans all day every day for months on end without them getting stinky, consider yourselves lucky, not everyone can get away with that no matter how many showers they take.

Has anyone ever tried this product called 'Pure Ayre'. It was on the ABC's Shark Tank and the entrepreneur who started it claims it could kill any type of odor. It's even edible too.

Saw something off one of my friends' Facebook posts...... It's a product called PureAyre and it was featured in the angel investor/venture capitalist show "Shark Tank" or whatever.

It's an all-natural odor eliminator, I think I wanna try this thing out and see if it works. If it does, it's a breakthrough for us denim enthusiasts :p Seems to have good reviews!
