How do you keep your denim smelling good?

Jun 25, 2010 @ 15:09
^ that works too.

so does hot soaking them every once in a while with some woolite dark, and then airing them out to dry outside in the sun.

at least that's what i hear people who don't have rose/lavender scented ball sweat do.
Jun 25, 2010 @ 15:46
dont wear them
Jun 25, 2010 @ 15:51
I hang them outside but that barely helps.

that's gonna ruin ur denim pretty fast. just air it out on a windy day. don't expect the smell to just go away if there's like no wind...
Jun 28, 2010 @ 17:40
I heard some ppl sayi8ng to put it in a bag and chuck it into the freezer... Febreeze also works great~
Jun 30, 2010 @ 12:13
Bag + Denim + Febreeze x Freezer / night in the Freezer = Fresher Jeans

Not permanent it just helps u get to the next wash.
Jun 30, 2010 @ 12:16

just saw this... its a new machine that supposedly takes all the smell out of your jeans, and cleans them.
Jun 30, 2010 @ 19:36
If you're jeans are raw, spray a shit load of febreeze and you should be fine. If it still smells, then you your going to have to take more frequent showers.
Jun 30, 2010 @ 23:02
yea cool
Jul 01, 2010 @ 03:29

Jul 01, 2010 @ 19:42

youre an idiot. if you want your jeans to not fall apart, its good to wash them. if your jeans are well made and well dyed, then it wont matter how much you wash em.

these were washed once a month, if not more, for one year

these were 8 times in one year

ive washed these at least 4 times in the 7 months ive owned them...

and they all look pretty fucking nice to me.... so, why is it that people shouldnt wash jeans?
Jul 04, 2010 @ 15:39
i figured the whole not washing until way later was a bit overstated and somewhat overrated. most savvy people say wash when you need to, not after some arbitrary period of time so i think i'll follow that advice and wash them whenever they start getting bad. even though my jeans won't turn up results like those lol
Jul 04, 2010 @ 16:23
soak em. thats what i do. shit smells fresh.
Jul 04, 2010 @ 20:56
and speaking of washing jeans early... i already need to wash mine to get rid of some smoke residue and stuff. and i've only worn them for a few days smh oh wellz!

dont go to all out parties in your favorite jeans or your raw denim in progress and barf and shit on them
dont blow smoke on them all the time
dont let them touch rain

hang them from time to time

If you follow your rules, you just wear them around the house. We'll see your progress in 3 years bro.

People are still overthinking this shit, just wear them and when they smell or they're dirty, soak or wash 'em.
Sep 05, 2010 @ 17:52
ive never washed/febreezed my AJDS, its been about 9 months and it doesnt smell at all. it might smell like whatever i did the night before, but by the next time i wear them, they dont smell anymore. the only thing i do is hang my jeans away from everything else
Sep 06, 2010 @ 00:32
^ You got used to the smell of your jeans. Imagine what the other people have to handle.
Sep 06, 2010 @ 20:54

sticking your jawns in a large ziplock bag (gallon, 2 gallon) and sticking them in the freezer for 24 - 48 works great.
