For those of you who are familiar with the Belgian surrealist artist, Rene Magritte, these were inspired by his work. He did a very famous painting with a man in suit and hat with his face covered by a green apple. I decided to reveal what might be under the apple and made it a portrait of the artist himself. I then used that apple to make a pattern around him. The dove, also iconic in his paintings, is on the back heel of the left shoe. Again, I used bright colors, the common theme of this set for Vans.
