Hey y'all, searched around the forums and couldn't find any info about good tailors in toronto, so thought i'd start a thread where we can share information.

so any of y'all know any good tailors in toronto?

I heard Studio Kim (766 King St. W) was really good for general stuff but how are they with denim if anyone knows? I'm planning to get a pair of jeans tapered.

by alter, do u mean hemmed or tapered?

and like BUCC4CHRIST asked, how much did it cost?


Piece of advice: Never go to "Stitch It" at Yorkdale, those guys suck ass.

Sydney Toronto can do Chain stitching, only place I know of for around $30.

If someone needs a good tailor in Markham, I got a recommendation as well. $5 for regular, $7 for Euro hem.

Just got my Samurais and Nudies back from hemming from a tailor on Kennedy & Highway 7 at Peachtree Plaza.

$5 for regular hem, $7 for original hem. Everything came out perfect!

studio kim is pretty expensive.. but they get recommended and shit.. i got like things tapered and slimmed costed me like 25 a pair..

are there any reputable places someone uptown that someone can recommend to get jeans tapered? i'm about to buy a pair of worn nudie slim jims, but would like to get the leg tapered. how much should i budget?

also, if the waist ends up too big, can it be adjusted as well?

Sorry for necro posting but I'm still looking to have my jeans hemmed. Sydney's won't do any hemming for a while since they say they're backed up so I'm looking for another place that will do it since I really want to start working in my jeans.

Is taper and hem the same thing?

My leg opening right now is 8, and I want it to be 7.5

If I just taper it wouldn't it look weird at the hem or at the knee down?

i got mine done in stitch it markville. it turned out fine. too bad the girl taking in the measurements was porky, or else the trip there would've been a little better.

Alright shit, time for this again lol.

Got a new pair of imperial dukes, wanna get em hemmed, dunno how i put up with the crazy stacks last time.

I remember last time I went to Studio Kim for a taper (over a year ago), it costed around $15.
My friend went during the summer to get 2 pairs of jeans tapered and hemmed, and the total turned out to around $70 =/. pretty crazy.

I'm gonna head down and check prices for how much my imperials hemming gonna cost. Doubt I'll need a taper this time.

anyone have any new recommendations for places that give a good hem at a good price?

i nought so much kicks at 1 point that my dad beat the fuck outta me and ripped up 2 pairs and said i f i ever bought home a pair of jordans he wudda kicked me ou the house....but after 2 years of not bringin them home(i still bought jays..only i left them in my skool locker and changed thier every mourning)...he started letting me buy them once a year...lolz i can buy any kicks except for jays..until i move out he says
