I think it's more related to the fact that the Vancouver members don't have a more social presence in the off topic like the NY, LA and CHI heads. It's more splintered. It would be like a blind date with a dude but lots of them. It would just be weird and awkward, not to mention risky(in that they could be mad lame) to meet people taht you really have no previous rapport with.
