Holts has their Purple Label and Black Label lines, although The Bay and Sears stock regular Polo collections.

Is this new? I've never seen Polo at Sears, and The Bay stopped selling Polo a few years ago.

To the poster, Sporting Life sells Polo.

Sporting Life also carries Polo Ralph Lauren. Thats the only two retailers in Canada I know of. The bay and Sears etc. carry the lower end Chaps collection

anyone know why Bay stopped carrying Polo Ralph Lauren stuff? I remember hearing that stores in Canada weren't going to be selling Polo anymore then it turned out to be only at Holt's or Sporting Life, but what is the reason for that anyways?

They're trying to make the brand more exclusive again.

That's not the reason. They stopped carrying it cuz the stuff wouldn't sell. All you'd see is 50-60% off tags on polo gear and the stuff still wouldn't sell. Torontonians aren't going to spend big dollars at a department store. Mainly because the prices are usually out of wack. There's a reason why Sporting Life and Holts are the only retailers selling Polo.

You sure about that? The retail used to be around $60 for a polo... now they jacked up the prices to around $80-90 and guess wut... it's pretty much HR that carries it. If sporting life still does then I guess they are the only two. They are trying to make it more exclusive... look at Lacoste... everyone and their mom has one. They stock chaps because it's a lower end brand. People here spend money on crap like A&F which is terrible in terms of quality. Would u rather have an A&F polo or RL polo?

RL/Polo hands down easy for clothing.

A&F/Holister for my eye candy.

RL/Polo target audience are people who shop at Holts/Sportinglife, i.e. don't count nickles & dimes or looking for 5 champs tees for $25 shoppers. Although there are some who would buy in a dept. store with discounts, many more buy @ Holts for retail.

Dude over there told me this....the stuff just didn't sell, and I've always been big into Polo so i'd always stop by and grab stuff until one day I saw the polo area stacked with Point Zero and Dex....lol

I really don't think Polo pulled the stuff, i mean, you go to the states and Polo is EVERYWHERE for cheap. Why would they pull this exclusivity sh1t in canada?

You're right about the pricing but look who sells Polo now....their clientelle does not even look at pricetags so they can afford to charge that price.

I'm good with copping Polo for a fraction of the price in the States...Dillard's, Macy's, even Marshall's and TJ Maxx lol.

As for Chaps, Abercrombie and Hollister? I have never and will never ever ever wear that sh1t...
