I spend about $200+ monthly on KL and I get charged around $20-$30+ on taxes.

The only good thing about DHL is that they ship pretty fast.

I just got my $70 dollar order delivered and they charged me $16 in DUTY, which the DHL dude specifically told me.
If you wanna save any money use a rep code.
I use KK242 and it basically saves me the duty cost.
Its a 20% discount

exact same thing happened to me. I started to use MLTD. They don't send tracking #'s, but there was no duty the few times I ordered through them.

Man go with MLTD, just got a $450 package with no duties or anything.

They're the way to go. The tracking numbers they give generally suck ( I know when it leaves a sorting facility and then the day its out for delivery) but my package took 9 days total to get to me.

The other day I bought a hat off karmaloop for $32 then shipping to Canada was $15 I used some codes and all together it came to $41. In my opinion that's not too bad for a hat. Unfortunately I didn't know DHL fucks you with fees else I wouldn't have bothered. Had to pay an additional $28...
Wasn't worth it for the specific hat..
Karmaloop needs to get their shit together for Canadian buyers.

Gonna have to try MLTD seems pretty good.

they hit you with 28 dollars just for a hat? you sure? I thought they charge you by weight of the package.

I think he's including the shipping and DHL fees to calculate the extra $28 charge. I do not recommend small orders on Karmaloop. You get charged the $10 brokerage fee every time, so if you make like a $20 order, naturally you will feel ripped off having the shipping and DHL fees cost more than the item itself.

Anyways, I'm hearing they will have a Canadian shipping option only slightly more expensive than US Shipping by June. Will let everyone know when I find out more.

As for MLTD, I just ordered the HUF fulton camos today to Manitoba and MLTD sent me ... two unique tracking numbers. Anyone know why that could be?

If you guys live anywhere in BC there's a site called www.thelettercarrier.com and basically its allows you to ship items right before the border and then come pick them up. That way you don't have to deal with duty/taxes and you also get cheaper shipping. It's about a 45mins drive from Vancouver and I use it for all my online orders. I'm sure there's something similar to that in other provinces.

That one works too, but The Letter Carrier is much closer to Vancouver and I think the fees are slightly cheaper, I could be wrong though.

Slightly off topic but I'm pretty sure my pair of vans I ordered got lost in the mail...says they were shipped on the 27th of December and the tracking code they gave me is non-existent..either that or Karmaloop is just slackin hard. Called in and the customer service girl had no clue either said shed e-mail me withing the day, which didn't happen. Live in Scotia btw.

I ordered JUST a black scale ring and it arrived in a box that a hat would fit perfectly in, it was full of paper and then the ring was just in the bottom.

Was charged 20$ when delivery guy arrived.

I mean like... for just one ring, they could've packaged it with a small box.

I'm done with Karmaloop/PLNDR as long as they're using DHL, it's really shitty. They haven't always used it...

I spent like $200 a long time ago and only got charged $20 which I thought was pretty decent. I buy a lot of shit overseas and I'd be happy to get $20 charged.
