dear metrojamie,

we all know what you're trying to say. it's the same bullshit on every forum.
BUT...i don't know why you keep pushing the same point when ACE himself has come into the thread explaining the price issues.

please step yo game up. if you don't like the prices, cop elsewhere.
you clearly tried to son people with that post... & trust me if you really "KNEW" economics, you wouldn't have posted that.

your theory is flawed in so many ways... i'm not even gonna start.
so once again, step yo game up & log off.

thanks

ace,
not going to pretend I know about the market(clothing) from the inside. I know economics and this seems incredibly hard to believe saying that all our goods msrps are still on an old pricing scale. I would say look at any goods like you mentioned above. For instance electronics, ipods are roughly set where the canadian dollar would be worth 90 cents on the us dollar(msrp us 299.99 canada 329.99) most other things have changed as well looking into it further. For instance media has quickly caught up as most cds and dvds are very close to being at the same price. So saying that the only thing other than automobiles that haven't really changed are shoes. The majority of the retail market place right now is still around the canadian dollar being worth 90 cents where as nike apparently are setting things at the canadian dollar being worth 50 cents to the canadian??????. Either way I guess its a mute point in the end since most of your goods aren''t imported but are bought inside canada meaning you don't even have to factor in the border costs into that. Again sorry to keep harping on this issue but hard for me to believe it isn't goodfoot trying to line the pockets thicker than the are already. Last thing on this post as well the extra 100 percent we will have to pay to support goodfoot(msrp $/msrp can $100) really isn't about money for at least me its a matter of feeling like we are getting raped on pricing when we open complex and it states strangebrews are $50-60 and we ask and we get the 100-120 msrp you would expect anyone to not enjoy that situation.

lol.

Prices will be going down very soon. Just wait. The auto manufacturers are already facing a class action lawsuit regarding price gouging. It's only a matter of time before retailers face the same music.

With regards to pricing, a lot of goods are starting to be priced according to the current exchange rate, but as mentioned, Nike is taking their sweet time and they have no reason to.

The reason car manufacturers are not cutting prices (yet) is because the majority of new car sales are leases, and lease prices are based on residual values, so if someone leases a new 3-series and the residual is $25,000 in 3 years (assuming the MSRP for a 2007 is $50,000), what the fuck is going to happen when BMW drops prices to $40,000 for the '08 model? Suddenly the '07 is going to cost more than the '08.

Anyways, you guys sure do love to complain, and I can only imagine how much whining is going to be going on when our dollar is worth $1.25 USD come summer 2008.

Just wait and see.

talking about the flannels in Ransom. I checked them out earlier in the week and found out the the blue and purple flannels look more striped than checkered for some reason. Not sure if someone else noticed this.

Yeah, i noticed that too, I think the lines going down are darker than the ones across, so it creates that image. But nonetheless, it's a really dope flannel
