typically you'll find your normal crap that you'd expect. but if you visit them often you'll spot some really good finds once in a while, i remember seeing higher end brands that you would normally find at places like holt renfrew end up at goodwill and a lot of it is unused too. likely because some rich folks bought them and never wore them so they ended up giving it to goodwill. you never really know what you'll find at places like these, i remember finding high end audio equipment at value village once and it was priced really cheap because the people that work there really don't know the value of some things

some vintage stores are also a good idea to check out, most of them are pretty much like thrift shops but with the crap weeded out, the price is also reflected because they know what they're selling but you can find really nice pieces from many years ago that you would otherwise never be able to find
