While I'm at it, I'm looking to grab my first ever skateboard, and I've been hitting a few places to see about prices. So far all a little high for me. Where would I go to grab a complete for around $100? Ideally if I could get a complete with an Enjoi deck, that'd be amazing, but to save money I'd be prepared to get a blank deck. Cheers.
A word of warning against cheapening lots of the parts on your deck; you'll do more harm than good by saving money in all realms (exactly like cheapening one element of a car or a bike or a computer; it's only going to ever be as good as the worst component)
Shop decks all over the city are pretty standard high quality but make sure you invest in proper (recognized name brand) trucks, wheels and bearings.
Those elements are the core of your skateboard and there's nothing worse than seeing a "super pretty" skateboard that's built using some low quality elements.
Make sure you talk to people at the stores and your friends and check out what they recommend or suggest before dropping that money; it's a big purchase for anyone.
