Weather is ridic right now so come to Van for the beaches, Kits, Spanish banks, English Bay etc. Take a trip up to whistler for you golf. Only a 2 hour drive and worth the trip, trust. River Rock in Richmond is 5 star hotel/casino, you're best bet, so to speak. Recommending clubs is tough since everyone's taste is different. I usually everyone to avoid Granville street like the plague, out of towners and locals alike. It's where Surrey comes to party, usually on one of those tacky party buses. Stick to gastown or grab a Georgia Straight news paper when you get here. It's a free entertainment rag that will tell what's poppin and on what days and all the concerts and DJ's and whatnot.

Hope that helps.

your from vancity and your heard the club scene ain't that good? that's so false dude ... vancity has one of the best nightlife scenes in canada next to montreal and toronto.
depending on what kind of music, crowd and events you like there should be someting for everybody. fridays and saturdays there's good parties ranging from either nightclubs boss, fabric, gossip, mint, century house, etc.

for shopping hit up robson street alot of cool stores down the strip as well as good food places to try. make sure to get a japadog as well. try stores like dipt, freshmen, livestock on west 4th and gastown locations, goodfoot, alife, subdivision, stussy, complex, adidas boutique on grandville, puma store, underworld, hart & sole, voltage on main st for kid robot gear & toys, j2 sneakerbox, paul's boutique in surrey central mall, and there's alot more places to shop at as well.

You must be around 19 years old and Asian.

You can't even put Vancouver's nightlife in the same breath as Montreal's. If you have ever done any travel outside of Canada, you will be sorely disappointed with Vancouver's club scene.

Boss? Gossip, mint?

Seriously?

Damn.

Well your in the heart of dowbtown Vancuver so you have Robson street for shopping. Although most of Robson street's shops are shit you'd find in a mall there are a few around your way. You are near Headquarters which is in my opinion one of the better shops in the country if you got the bread. You are really close to El Kartel which is a cool store run by really good people, just not really my style.
Gastown is where you wanna be, not far from your spot, 10-15 minute. Use the first page of the Vancouver shopping thread.

As for golf courses, I've never hard of one being in the downtown core of a city so you're gonna have to do some traveling for that. Casino's you have Edge Water at plaza of nations. Google it.

CBoom's speaking the truth.

And it's not even that the venues suck, because I think some are okay. It's just the patrons are prone to flagrant faggotry and douchebaggery. Tight Armani shirt-wearing goons with sweatpants on in a fucking club who think they're the shit, and half decent girls who think they're God's gift to men.The clubs here are simply populated by people who are generally full of themselves.

My suggestion if you wanna have a good time is to go to a concert of your choosing. Then at least there'll be music that YOU like and sometimes the people are less intolerably full of shit. concerts around here tend to be at smaller venues, they're more intimate and people tend to be more into actually having a good time than just getting wasted or trying to impress people they won't ever see again.
