Amen brother.

Nightlife in Vancouver is a joke and anyone who disagrees has clearly never left the city.

MTL FTW.

I love how innocent questions always degenerate into flame wars on hypebeast. Why need TV when this shit keeps me laughing and entertained every time I log in?

But yeah, everyone here basically got it right. The nightlife here is lackluster unless you like to drink a lot with ed hardy affliction-wearing douchebags who use the word "Bro" too much, or meet women who think that they're too good to talk to you because they're on some hipster fedora-wearing, high-waisted denim having bullshit. I love my city, but the club scene here is fucking terrible.

Usually some smaller venues have some DJ's who specialize in some sort of music and those are usually good. I forget where exactly but there was this one place that had some jamaican-chinese DJ playing some good reggae shit if you're into that. Always a good time there.... BUT,

If you wanna go out and do something at night, you can't go wrong with a concert. Recent years have been absolutely terrible in terms of hip hop in Vancouver, but sometimes you get the occasional gem. The fucking GZA came here a few weeks back and the show was dope as hell. ?uestlove recently did a DJ set at a really intimate, small venue, too but I didn't go. and 2009 looks promising for shows.

If you wanna do something, try that. Hope that helped.

?uestlove played at tunnel and it was very very dope! I agree with the scene for the most part being garbage but there are certain events that are def worth coming out to. Pop Opera was crazy last night although that may have been more cause of the people but Republic on Sundays is def worth going to if you're into reggae.

lol.

To be honest the club scene isn't bad. But it's very small.

I usually go to concerts. If the people are sh^t then at least there's the music to back up the night. smokeyface
