Yuh. I prefer EKs more aesthetically, but EGs were like the last of the Civics to be hella light and have decently-powered engines, right?

i think so. well, i'd like either actually. which would you prefer? or should i find some other beat up car and fix it up?

edit, are eks and egs stick only?

If you're gonna learn stick, do it on your first car since it seems you're gonna get a used car. Don't wanna fuck up with a new car. :b But yeah, definitely go for manual for your first if you're someone who enjoys driving everyday rather than thinking of it as a chore. Manuals are cheaper and will outrun an automatic anyway.

In my opinion, I'd go with an EK rather than an EG. Not just because I like EKs better, but they'll be newer and will be easier to find lower miles and better conditions ones. My friend got a sixth generation Civic (not the hatch but the sedan, same generation as the EK) that only had 30,000 miles on it dirt-cheap like last year from an old grandma who never drove the car. It's beautiful, I love older Hondas.

Si's are the ones that only come in manual. Regular Civics got automatic.

thanks for the tip man blushing i'll be looking around for an EK right now. any tips on learning how to use stick?

one thing i don't like about manual is its harder to multi-task like trying to drink or something, for me anyways but that could be because my shifter shakes a lot so i always have to hold it

Lmfao it's hard as fuck to multitask in all the cars I've owned, all been sticks with no cupholders. When I had my '73 Beetle I'd be driving down the street with a cup between my legs, sitting kind of far since the seat hated sliding, then the tranny would pop out of gear. Damn that car was fun.
