i like the 04 and 05 impreza stis but i dont really like the 08 ones cuz they are all hatchback and shaped all weird. i like hatchbacks but they style of it isnt that great.

I actually like the new style,it sorta grows on you.Have you seen the new STi in person?It kinda reminds me of the 06-07's when they came out,nobody liked them.

The new style isn't liked by those who aren't into hatches, but as a Euro enthusiast I LOOOOOVE hatches and wagons, so the new STi is right up my alley. It has the widebody design cues near the head and tail lights as well as the gorgeously boxy and aggressive fenders. The only cons are the hideous taillights which will have to be tinted or replaced. The overall styling is more civilized and less boy racer which all the Evos and STis have been perpetuating so far, unless you actually wanted to be pigeonholed as one.

yeah. i hated the 07s when they came out but i like em now. i just dont like the style of the sti hatch. and i own a hatch. seems like they're just biting my vehicle lol. and the tails and front grill have to go

And yeah to be honest... a WRX/STI isnt exactly a professional looking car. Its built for rally, and you wouldnt really be taken seriously if you were driving that into a business interview. You would be respected in the car world to other car fanatics because they know the reputation of these rally cars.

I used to have a WRX, and it just didnt suit the professional look for my job

Sure a subie is great for your years in college or something, but after that. Go for a G35 or a E92 3 Series or something which are fun and yet professional looking.

my boy has an 04 sti and me and him do all the work on it. Its a fun car with loads of potential but its kind of a pain in the ass to do engine work on

riced to you?, bought the car brand new off showroom floor brand new 2 months into production year, that "rice out look" if you knew anything about subarus= front end oem sti carbon fiber side markers, oem sti 3 in hood scoop, vis carbon, oem sti grille, oem sti type 2 front lip spoiler (only 2000 made worldwide) free blak projection headlights(they blew dick thus stock back in). it was winter when pics taken, thus stock wheels /rubber. bitch ran like a raped date and loved every minute of it. point being my car was built between 02-03.i treated it like it was, a rally car wear and tear through 5 years is gonna happen.

after the accident i let it run (shook outta my mind) which caused a piston to pop, front right control arm snapped. declared it totaled on sight. bought title back to strip so its been sittin in my driveway since last january. hard to tear apart something you put so much time into

Fair enough i wasn't saying the STi is a ricey car off the showroom floor i was saying some of the things you did gave your car a ricey look ie: the gaudy window sticker, ugly lip, and what looked like on first glance a black painted hood. I just prefer a cleaner look.

It may just be because i don't have a shit ton of experience but it seems like the most simple stuff is made more difficult due to the lack of room in the engine bay and i get frustrated easily haha.

Subaru=POS, Trust I worked on them for years. Sure they make great low end torque and with turbo mods they breath better at top end but a inline motor will always create more real torque and HP then a boxster or V shaped motor any day of the week...

I know. I(the shop I co owned) put the first working GT42R on a 2.8L STI 5 years ago this coming spring...

If you want to take a fully built evo versus a fully built sti i can tell you know which one will win in a HP race and a drag race and shit a road course with the right driver and suspension setup.
