LOL that was the newest episode. Which is still weird because the Veyron should've kept the lead since it took off from the dig.
I have seen it as well, it appears that it wasn't launched properly (though idk how you can fuck up launch control). Otherwise all the performance statistics online for both cars are wrong because the Veyron should have had the lead from the start because of its 4WD system. The Veyron can reach 60mph in 2.5 seconds and 100mph at 5.4 seconds, when being launched from a stand still. The F1 records 3.2 seconds and 6.3 seconds for those feats respectively (all numbers from fastestlaps.com). Judging by these numbers the Veyron should have pulled on the F1 from the start, which makes me think the Veyron was launched wrong for 1 of 2 reasons.
1. Richard Hammond is a shit driver and some how found a way to fuck up the launch even with launch control (LC is why its tail lights were flashing in the video).
2. Top Gear deliberately had the car launched incorrectly to give the F1 an advantage, making the race more competitive even though they knew the Veyron would manage to overtake it eventually.
I hate the Veyron but the F1 should not have stood a chance against it in straight line, it makes no sense.
