Oh yeah I love it, my wife's getting a 5 series later this year when the whole year end models become discounted and all the other gens drop in price as well, I'm extremely jealous haha. I just wish mine was a m3 not just a 3...
I have always liked the 5 series BMW's just because they've been a good median in terms of what BMW has to offer... M3's have become way too common nowadays there are just as many 335i's as there M3's well atleast out here in So Cal anyway...

I agree the newer m3s are watered down in terms of rarity. I don't like much of the 3 series past the e46 I'd love to have a 4 door e36 m3 in blue. I'd just leave it bone stock and hold on to it forever. Yeah the older m5s are so sick. My friend had a new one it was okay I'm just now used to te design of it, or the note on it lol.

I had a chrome set of lips at first but i didn't like how high maintenance they are with brake dust etc. so swapped them for polished. I polish my lips to a mirror/chrome like finish, love knowing i accomplished it by hand but hate the hours it takes to get it done haha...
Dem hand cramps.  I'm thinking about investing in a couple buffer pads and whatnot to make polishing way easier.

Yeah going to try it with some drills etc this month with the buffer pads and see if it's better when doing the polishing compounds and mags...

How it currently sits:

Wednesday night heading home from work my rear tire blew out on the parkway while I was going 85. I fishtailed but saved the car..... The damage I know of is that the tire ripped off the side skirt, side skirt bounced around and dented the door, blown tire dented and folded the rear fender, broke the rear bumper, broke metal from the trunk (you can see the ground from the trunk), broken censor on the exhaust, and possible exhaust damage. I was going to be trading in the car on Saturday to get my M3.... Now that's delayed

Not sure if downgrade or upgrade from MS3. You must have big plans for that Miata. Keep us updated if so!
