They're pretty popular here in Australia.. there is an 18 month waiting list for the GTS models.. whats the reception like over there in North America??

I've been in one. Handling is crazy.. but it doesn't have much power :/

It's got a pretty good reception in the states just a lot of kids are driving them... Just feel like im too old for that car personally. That and it doesn't have much to offer in terms of interior or power so yeah...

Awesome.. the waiting list here is so annoying! and yeah.. the power is a deal breaker to many (not me). Apparently Subaru might be releasing a supercharged or turbo charged version some time soon? Don't know if its just rumours though..

theyre talking about a turbo'd version aka the stibrz but not anytime soon, and they are pretty big here. their goal wasnt to make a drag car, it has plenty of power for what its made for. handling > power. iv heard 3-400 awhp stis being overtaken by stock brz / frs.

Was speaking to a mate and apparently people have been putting turbos and all that jazz on this car. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of this sexy beast? Saw an orange one yesterday and it was freaking exquisite.

I'm glad the cars sells well. not much a fan of it myself. seems well-balanced, yet underpowered, which can be changed at will. surely. I'm just hoping it serves as stepping stone of a new Supra in the future

never buy a car in it's launch year. personally, i would rather have an s2000 than this car.

I look how you wanna look, I fuck like you wanna fuck, I am smart, capable and most importantly, I am free in all the ways you are not.

well if youre looking for a little more speed, i guess....but having the experience of my friends s2k compared to my frs, it cant compare with the frs on handling. they have a hard time catching up to my in the canyons

^ He's actually right.

GTi's low-mid torque carries the car to "200HP" quicker than the FR-S.

Can't compare handling.

BTW, you can "unlock" ~ 40 hp on the 2.0T with a chip, basically free power considering how much the car cost. Can't do that with a NA.

Go do my research? Well im in a GTI M6k (2012) atleast once a week. And have been in an FRS. Gti is definitely quicker and so much cheaper to mod. The one im in once a week is far from stock now considering it has a K04 turbo, stoptech front bbk upgrade, nitto nt05's and a giach tune. Thats about 4k-5k in upgrades and is pushing 340hp to the front wheels. That's still under 30k. FRS is overpriced imo.
