looking for a car under 10 G's.. please read

I am looking to upgrade from current car which is a 1996 Acura integra.. The car serves me well as a DD and is reliable, but its automatic and quite honestly I am looking to upgrade to something a bit more powerful/fun.

I am looking to spend under 10 grand. I really like E36 M3s and GTRs, but both seem to be hard to come by a decent on in my area. What car would fit this budget and leave good room for horsepower upgrades etc? I also like Evo IVs and 5s but once again, pretty rare in my area. (vancouver)

where i live E46 M3s are well over 10 grand and same with 350z.

Go for an e30, or the old GTI's.

not a new GTR, like an R32. There have been a few in my area for 8-10 Gs. However too high KM for my liking.

S2K & S14 (240) are not.

Aight here are my recommendations
-Reduce your budget and save some money in case your new car shits the bed, and to replace some parts (2 g's)
-Get an inspection done, use that to haggle with the seller
- WRX, FC Rx7 T2, MR2, S13 240

Personally I'd go with the Rx7 because I love them, some people are scared of rotary's, do some research and see if you're into that.
Next best from that list would be a WRX or STI, comparable to an Evo, but much more common and available in LHD
Seems to be pretty hard to find an MR2 that's not beat to shit or with super high kms
A lot of people get 240s for their first car, you can easily use it for drifting, tracking, dragging, with many options for modding

Lastly since you're in Vancouver, importing your own r32, evo, or anything is a huge option, you can save some money by going jdm, but then you'll be a fgt

And don't sell your integra, use it for winter and when your car shits the bed

good advice. i never thought about importing... I'd like to keep my teggy but i dont wanna have to pay insurance on both as i have to park it on the street. I guess i could find a place to store it.
