Cars that look good slammed/stanced/hellaflush.

Aug 16, 2012 @ 02:50
Anyone know of any cars that would look good slammed? I'm getting into this scene and I want recommendations for a new project. Any information would also be nice on what coilovers to use, springs, etc.
Aug 16, 2012 @ 03:04
imo, any car looks better lowered/ slammed vs stock height. youre not gonna get that look with just springs, go with coilovers or bags.

I would get bags, but that's not practical for something like an e36 m3, which is what I was initially aiming for.

old school japanese love. parts & even the car itself maybe hard to find, but the build process and eventually breaking necks with the finish product makes it all worth it smokeyface smokeyface smokeyface
and whatever you do..don't ever ever EVER cut springs unless you want to look like a jackass.

when you hella flush/slam a car, the whole car isnt practical. you lose all handling abilities anyways, so why not bag it?
Aug 16, 2012 @ 23:58
Bags are for groceries, you will lose street cred and E cred for not being static

Just kidding, bags aren't cheap though.

when it comes down to it, I guess it's just personal preference really. When I see bags I think of trucks and shit for some reason.
Aug 17, 2012 @ 06:01
nah air lift is tight, but pricey. a nice set of coilovers is cheaper

Aug 17, 2012 @ 06:02
Yeah that too. How much do they even run?
Aug 17, 2012 @ 06:17
a set of nice coilovers 1000-1500, a set of bags 2000-2500

yeah man thanks for the advice, I've been looking for a car for a new car for the past couple of years, because once I buy it chances are I'm gonna be keeping it around for a long time. narrowed it down to an e36/e46 m3, 02-04 merc amg, or an impreza

It takes a special someone to go this route. Be prepared to plan your routes and to damage some parts on your car like your front bumper. Also dont forget its not just about coilovers and bags its also about the fender work that goes into it. If you dont got hook ups for this be prepared to get a shitty job done or to pay mad $$$$ to get it setup proper. I love this look however I could never do this. Not practical at all.
